As of right now, they suck. I am a Master Commando (have been for quite some time) and I've never even owned one of my own. The accuracy sucks, it has no DoT, and the mods don't stack right.
It's basically the flamer's little brother. I wouldn't waste my time on it, though supposedly something is in the works for it for Publish 7.

Acid rifle... should give an acid DoT...
