Thread: Delay on healing yourself

Maybe the Devs feel that Diag is more of a support tree for the combat medic/pistoleers or noncom Master Medics to play with so that they can heal people faster /as group support/.

Still, I notice that queueing a heal sometimes lasts TWO combat rounds (specials or no) instead of one, and that grenades/charged heavies preempt regular specials and healing in the combat queue, even if they're toked up well after the other things. It's not a perfect system.

The speed increases gained in the medic tree (+healing speed) are currently broken when you try to heal yourself, but they work on others

You can actualy heal other people faster then yoursself.

This has been going on for a long time... it is now fixed on TC though... and all damage healing will take into account your healing speed modifiers (+ wound healing speed is in doctor though).

Peacing out of a combat Queue to get to the point when you can even use the first heal is seomthing else entirely. There is actually a timer as well... You can get a heal off with a very full combat queue, but it take a while, so people dump the queue, for a fast heal.

The devs are aware of this problem, and ahve promised to look into putting healing 100% into the queue. BTW each special has its own speed (separate from [but maybe modified by gun and skill speed modifiers] the speed of the gun), so putting healing in the queue, can still be affected by med speed skills if/when it is put into queue.

Gotcha, so the combination of Master Commando/Master Medic is an exercise in complete futility then. Because most Heavy Weapons fire slowly (or comparitively slowly vs. other classes). So my idea of healing myself or group mates while doing solid damage with my Heavy Weapons is just not going to happen.

I appreciate all the comments on this thread. It has really helped me sort out a problem that was really ruining the game for me.
