When the we got the big 2.5x BeYACH slap I went from being a 3|4|4|4 commando just shades away from Master to a 3|2|4|0 so I could get CH to use a pet as a defensive wall...I currenly have enough xp stored to go right back up to 4|4|4|3 when the patch hits and it's a breeze to hit Master just after that (1240 apperentice xp stored)...I am so looking forward to giving up CH (the nerf coming there is plenty of reason too)...and I won't have to keep all that scouting...

I also have around 150K of unarmed...and extra 60K in combat xp...160K in pistol all stored...so I can't wait until this patch to finally go Master Commando | TKA | Pistoleer...

With all the Melee Defenses, the Ranged Defenses and the absence of the 2.5x melee bonus issue...this combination should work really well to create a hard to hit character who absorbs a lot of damage when he is hit (possibly 40%....who knows for sure with this mitigation thing)...I get all giddy just thinking about it...lol...I'm already saving up for a Mount...

Regarding the previous mention about Mounts not having good Terrain nav (especially hills) I just read this on the TC forum in reference to mount speeds:

Terrain nav is about the only thing mounts have going for them. It seems like they go over hills as fast or a little faster than someone with exploration4 and they swim much faster than a player with exploration 4 (this seems to be the only good thing about mounts now) So players with scout skills just for the terrain nav points could drop the skills for the points but you still need novice scout for the camps to call the mount.

Another thing I did confirm on there is that while on a mount, specials can not be used...but if this becomes an issue, I'm sure enough people will complain and get things changed...so scouting skills still seem like a good option for us to be able to clear up some additional skill points if needed. The camp issue, though, does bring up a good point regarding Novice Scout...
