Figures that stuff seems to be revving up because of them though. More info as soon as I can get it, but we got noticed...

When I was a kid and someone was saying something I didn't like I would put my fingers in my ears and say "NAANAAANAAANAANAANAA" until they shut the hell up. If that didn't work I would hit them in the nuts with a whiffle ball bat. You should be glad they didn't have a whiffle ball bat. LOL. They aren't going to fix anything AOE until the Jedi get an AOE crystal for their 1337 sabers and it doesn't work for them. We might get fixed by accident when they fix it for them.

good point ... its a lose - lose situation i guess.
I cant belive i have held on to commando as long as i have, guess im having a hard time giving it up ...
elemental wasnt fixed for commando. 90 damage flamer and only pre-cu heavy lightning cannons have anything close to half-decent elemental damage (but never a newly made one).
yet I see drop weapons with 170 to 220 elemental damage on em...all other proffessions be very happy with them..and they can power them up... *sigh*
at this point starnick, just tell those fa6s in soe development to slap a high damage special at master commando and that will be that. theyve obviously proved for more than 2 years that they will not fix anything but jedi and bh. revenue speaks and soe devs are masters at creating their own job security.
Now if we had a PFT that was 950 max damage, and elemental damage of 200...and that elemental damage was multiplied in specials, that my friend's would potentially compensate for specials (especially if 100% AoE). It would most likely bring our PFT to a damage level close that of improved legshot, using overcharge shot. However, the major problem with this would come with using improved legshot with the weapon, which would put our damage output to around 2,300. Right now my enhanced PFT with 157 dmg tissues does that, now take on the 200 elemental? Close to 2,600 damage every 3 seconds...and then add in a fire DoT. Seems a bit overpowered to me.
That unfortunately is our curse, and why we do need either consumables that you can't spam, but have excellent damage (and hence can't be overpowered since they don't use specials), and/or damage specials. We need something that is external from our equipable weapons that can give us the damage power we need without putting everything else out of whack, and this is something that I have been advocating quite a bit. If only we could get grenades be turned into how the Pre-CU consumables were (several thousand damage in a single hit) we could very well be set, even without a damage special...

If they would give us our own specials, they could probably balance it without messing with other professions...
Try and balance it all in our weapons, but there's way too many variables to mess it up...we need something external that can give us our damage.
By the way, no news yet...
