ok, if the DoT ticks at all, you lose xp. and i think that because our specials now do more damage, i think you lose xp. im not 100% on that, ill try and test it tonight.

I have noticed a huge difference in xp... (from tka, fencer, swordsman, carbineer, pistols).
Plain quenkers yield the best at 2900-3100
Huntress that should give 4100 are only dropping 2600.
Pickets are only dropping 2600, usually 3500
And this is reguardless of DoT

i noticed that if the dot ticks you do lose xp. The best way to maximize xp is to fire a few regular shots with flamethrower. Lower the action and health some as flamesingle almost always hits one of these. Then just flamesingle1 to finish it off. You don't want the DoT to tick. Also kneeling the whole time and using Aim then flamesingle makes a HUGE difference. If you aim first you will rarely miss even with just Flamethrower 1.
And you don't lose more xp because our specials do more damage. There is no xp difference when you receive flamesingle2 for instance. You can one shot things so much easier and the xp doesn't lessen.

Your exp payout is in part based upon the difficulty of the monster vs your capacity to harm it. When I was a TK working up the tree, mamiens were worth 800 UA. Before I mastered, they were worth 100, and not worth the time.
Because the flamethrower has such a high base damage (I don't think the rate of fire is considered) the comparative 'difficulty' of your prey is lowered, and you get a smaller payout.
Didn't bother me a bit though, burned through the whole class in less than a week and loved it. Longest downtime was spent buying a decent FT, and with TKM defense and excellent armor, I was wasn't too worried about standing as close as we have to. Stayed on Yavin primarily, but spent the last 4 boxes or so on Endor.
A tip: Crystal snakes on yavin are worth (even at flame4) 2.5-3k, and their frame is narrow enough that the AoE cone actually hits 2 sometimes when they're attacking you. If you can get over the poison, they're excellent prey. My personal record was 109k in 24 minutes. I'm sure I could do better, but might not have as much fun as I did that morning.

Then why do quenkers (easy) give more xp than huntress or pickets? In fact savage and relic reaper quenkers give LESS xp than regular quenkers... possilby quenkers were over-looked in the xp vs skill mods?

I've been getting average of 3000xp per savage. Not even the more difficult bile-drenched give that much. All other quenkers give me around 2600.
