Player Correspondent Opening: Commando
- Are you knowledgeable about the Commando profession?
- Are you a community leader?
- Can you objectively identify relevant issues and distinguish them from simply passionate arguments?
- Do you like organizing information and corresponding with other members of a community?
The Development Team is looking for a volunteer correspondent for the Commando Profession. Participation is completely voluntary and you can stop helping out at any time. We’re just looking for someone who can help us sort through the various issues for this profession.
Some things that you need to consider when applying:
- Developing online games takes a long time. Results happen with long time involvement.
- Player Correspondents should be leaders in their community and set a positive tone.
- Player Correspondents should understand the technical aspects of playing the profession and the needs of their community.
- Player Correspondents should be in touch with the communities concerns, understanding the essence of why players pursue their chosen profession.
Please include your forum name in the letter If this is something you are interested in, please write a short paragraph on why you think you would be a good candidate and email it to [email protected]. Please put Commando Correspondent in the Subject Line. By submitting this email to us, you agree to allow us to contact you in connection with Star Wars Galaxies and agree that all correspondence with and material submitted to SOE will be the exclusive property of SOE and SOE may use such materials without limitation and in its sole discretion.
After we have reviewed the submissions, we will pick one person to be our correspondent. We will set them up with a special community title here on the forums and ask them to help highlight for us the relevant issues relating to this profession.
We will still continue to monitor the forums and read as many threads as we can. The correspondent is just to help us focus on the top issues and community concerns of the profession.

Maybe not. Look who they chose as the new GCW Corr.
TH once told me that TK (the old DE Corr) and I had flamed him the most before becoming Correspondents...so everyone has a valid shot in my opinion and it doesn't hurt to apply. They will choose the person they feel will do the best job.

You should be a reflection of the community when responding to Dev requests for opinions...But balance Passion with Reason...
And most of all, remember you have a great asset in your community members...USE THEM!!! I couldn't have done the job I did if I thought for a minute that I was doing it alone...Trust that this community will always have your back...
Dang Garvin, say this stuff after I send in an application!
But...ironically (and thankfully)...a short paragraph for me turned into 2 medium ones because I did in fact add and stressed these points...almost exactly. Weird!
I condensed it to one paragraph. If i'm going to make two full paragraphs, I expect to be graded for it, and I expect it to be an "A".
