Thread: Flamethrower + FS enhancement?

I sware to god if our enhancement is done with Melee +12 FS speed....... im going to have a nervous breakdown.

It makes no sense at all that our "Ranged" Flamethrower would be enhanced with melee speed. If this is the case, SOE Better give all of us who jumped in on the +12 FS Speed line "b/c a ranged weapon should be enhanced by a ranged speed mod", that /revertskills or whatever that feature was the Jedi recieved.

If we are melee, why don't we have melee midigation - why can't we do melee specials with our weapons - why do we require Master Marksman & one line of brawler.........

Im going to be so ticked off b/c i invested my one holo branch on speed instead of Luck.

Bet nothing would happen. I have the ranged speed line, and I don't fire any quicker at all.

That's super. Melee speed makes our flamethrowers faster. I'm glad I know that now after I've already started ranged speed.

Yeah, me too. Positively terrific. At least I auto-unlocked the ranged line instead of grinding it.

I was thinking that too, haven't tested the flame with autofire yet, have to give that a shot, since that is ranged but the flame specials are inside the 20m limit of melee weapons so maybe that is how it works.

earlier today I was thinking about the melee speed...since our specials are melee range only, devs could very well have made an error of listing our hvy weapons as melee (again)...


So it does make sense....

this is frustrating, mainly because i'm not going to get the whole FS combat tree, just 2 branches. which one should i get? melee speed counting on the fact that the developers can't fix bugs quickly to save their life? or ranged speed and hope it's a bug and it's fixed quickly.

if i get melee speed you know that if they fix it i'll have to regrind the whole tree. there's no way they will credit me that xp.

i suppose i'll wait until i have confirmation. more content denied because of bugs. wonderful.

Well there was that bug a while back where Commando weapon damage counted as melee damage (Riflemen getting hit for 6000 PvP damage). This could definately be related.
