i don't know about you guys but the republic flamethower glooks very WW2.
and i i thought the lave flamer will look sexy, like a rocket launching, or a train going into a tunnel, if you know what i meen.

Give commando an Armor break!
I've been looking and comparing melee and ranged, and here is what i have come up with, as im sure you all.

Melee:
Have all the defense, arent slowed by carrying a weapon, can not only super boost their own defense, but can also lower your speed, lower your damage, rinder your armor ineffective, snare, action drain, hit for mass damage, and did i mention take a beating like no other?
Ranged:
Basically, only advantage here is you have range on your opponent. Best case scenario you can hit for less than a melee would with armor break and power attack.If master commando pulls through like we are all hoping, they might be that profession that can put a little "hmph" into ranged.Ifa commando could have ranged armor break, itwould make all other ranged templates, in conjunction with commando,effective, period. COB with a heavy weapon would be great too, take damage and deal it. Ideal for pvp in my opinion

I noticed the Lava Cannon doesn't say anything about shooting in a cone, while the Republic FT does. They both still have splash damage, though.

Those weapons are ugly to the bone!
They dont look like starwars.
There arent even flamethrowers like that in the starwars universe!
Get us some starwars-commando weapons and dont copy designs from reallife like the Heckler & Koch G36 - proton carbine.
We should have weapons like:
Heavy Repeater
PLX-2M Portable Missile System
RD-4 Pulse Grenade Launcher
V-6d Mortar Launcher
Assault Cannon
FC-1 Flechette Launcher
Stouker Concussion Rifle
They dont look like starwars.
There arent even flamethrowers like that in the starwars universe!
Get us some starwars-commando weapons and dont copy designs from reallife like the Heckler & Koch G36 - proton carbine.
We should have weapons like:

I just find this a bit ironic with all the star wars movie weapons being slightly modified existing, albeit older, real life weapons. My bet is that if the SW movies would have been made today, weapons would indeed look very much like the G36.

Still a nice weapon though. I like the Splash damage percentage on the HRFT better though 
60% AE is gonna be devastating in mass PvP.

Agreed. Some kind of effect needs to take place to account for the fact lava sticks and flame does not.
Maybe continual heat damage for a small amount of time after the initial hit?

I can't believe they're giving us a lava cannon. another rediculous commando weapon like the rocket shooting pistol and acid-filled super soaker. But this one definitely takes the cake. Lava cannon gets my vote for the most idiotic weapon in SWG. Why can't they make us like Star Wars Commandos? I'll trade all 3 of those weapons for an assault carbine with a grenade launcher attached under the barrel.

They can'tjust make commando a carbineer witharocket launcher attached to his weapon.
Although that is what a commando really is..
