Is it just me or is anyone else laughing their butts off at all these peeps on the CU Update thread whining about having swords pre-reqs for TKM, etc....

Haven't we been arguing this for a long time and no one seemed to care until now?

This just made my day! Let em WHINE!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

COMMANDOS RULE!!!! JEDI, TKMs, Riflemen, WATCH YOUR BUTTS!!!!!

*chuckle* Well, not really whining here...I would like to know the reason behind it--2H for an unarmed class seems silly, wanna make something appropriate, 1h seems better. But that's just me.

I do want to know if my present template of TKM/Master Commando will be possible And if it'll be viable. Whining, forget it, whatever the CU brings us we'll have to live with, or else cancel accounts--and I'm too stubborn for the latter!

Hm. Started to say that I was a little perturbed at having ground up to Master Marksman to get to Commando before this change...but on second thought, no I'm not. It gave me valuable experience as a player, showed me what different weapons could do...I'm kewl with it.

I have one thing and one thing only to say about this...............

Duel Weilding might be the reason

but then that is just a Theory of mine

After reading this i tried to make up a cool template that included all the thing i like in this game. With the new pre-reqs and the skill point cost the same i could be a tkm/mcommnado/bh 3000. I get to be the three things i like most iun SWG,commando,tk and bh

There probabkly a few other badass temps u could come up with too. Love the CU!

Actually, if you read the CU Doc you will find that no one will have more then two combat professions.

(nevermind i am a ding bat it actually says Masterd)

Depends on your template. For us, if you had TKM-MC, you could then only spend 23 skill points in BH, vice versa if you had a MBH-MC template.

Now, thats with a melee component, you can be a Master Rifleman, Master Carbineer, and have 53 SP to dabble in Pistoleer (or 47, if you also pick up Master Marksman as you'd be qualified anyways)

You -can- master Three combat professions (or have more than 2 combat professions) with the example above (MM-MR-M.Carbineer would equal 203 sp (77-63-63 breakdown)...but you just can't master three elite combat professions (which you can do with the 3 ranged professions above now, and have 4 sp left over)

Edit: That is applicable, UNLESS if they alter skill point costs...which, I feel is unlikely...but can be possible...

Before we (me included) go off and celebrate the new pre-reqs.

We can drop three lines of Marksman.

But take a look at the weapons ceerts and skills we will loose if we drop all but the required ranged support line of Marksman.

I wonder if the certs for any of the new weapons might fall into one of those branches?

With all these changes how many tries will we get at a re-spec? The odds of not liking what we get the first time are pretty good.

Your gonna get one shot and redistributing the points.

It would really pay to make a vist to the BlueFrogs on the test center when you get the chance.

ther you could change your points around to your hearts content.

Great point! It will be in everyone's best interest to either sign up for CU Beta, or get a character set up on Test Center when this starts to get closer to live. Unless of course you want tospend about 1-3 months in trial-and-error grinding and un-grinding professions until you start to find something you might like again.
