Launcher Pistol, good buffs, Good Armor, and then kill any and everything in site...

Going for combination Pikeman/Commando, If I can't blow it up then I will hack it to death

I really never used the launcher pistol while leveling commando.Found it too non damaging and i had to specials to do more damage .In any case I used the flamethrower through the whole profession.Get some of that accuracy food(I forget its name) and go to Dantooine ,equip yourself with ubese armor set , get buffed, get in a solo group , and kill quenkers.Only do quenkers because for some reason heavy weapons is capped at around 3k xp per kill.Killing anything stronger than quenkers is a waste of your time.Once you hit flamethrower spec 4 you will breeze through the rest of the trees with ease .

A tank droid, a speedsliced flamer, and a ticket to yavin.

Get as many creatures to attack the droid as possible, then cone em all. Maw Gax' are good prey.

I used the launcher pistol. Of course I have the BH pistols line but even without that the launcher pistol is best at least until you get to x/x/1/x. Once you get the first flame thrower box then you can use the flame single 1 and do pretty good damage, problem is you still miss a lot and its a while between shots. Speed slices are important and like other people said don't do anything that's too hard as you are limited to the xp you can get, no point in fighting harder for the same amount of xp.

Don't mess around trying to fill in one box across commando at a time, go straight up the flame thrower line and then use your flame thrower, one of the best PvE weapons in the game at flame 4 to easily get the xp needed to fill in everything else.

Nowadays... Flamethrower, Flamesingle, Quenkers... Flame Cone is rarely useful.

Launcher Pistol and the Squill Cave works well. I also got massive experience from the Bocatt lairs on TaT.

Currently your best bet is the squill cave. high kin resist ubese or comp, accuracy food, flamethrower. Best bet is a speed sliced FT until you get higher in the FT tree.

#1 Use your launcher to get that 1st box of FlameThrower, Flame single 1.

#2 Get some decent Ubese Armor

#3 Get in a solo group, at least big enough to get missions at level 60. (3 people and droids)

#4 goto Dathomir and take Bull Malkloc missions. when you get to the mission, store your bike and /kneel right on the lair. They are Vuln to heat and don't hit hard and give from 2.5k to 3k xp per kill, and usually 1 flamesingle on a dmg sliced FT will kill all but the bull.

In a 3 hour buff set, i was able to get 850k heavy weapons xp Using the double Tap lair method. (yes i had got trained at the outpost 1/2 way through, luckily). I did this 3 nights in a row an was master Commando in a total of about 13 hours play time.

how i got master commando was solo missions on dant,

get into a big solo group after your buffed and take picket / quacker missions as you may all ready know doing the flamer tree frist is best use flame single on as soon as you get it then flame cone 1 when you have a few mobs on you. then come flame single 2, well its all down hill once you get flame single 2.

speed sliced flamers would be a good idea to.

you can master this profession quite quickly if you have the mental ablity to sit at your pc for long period of time burning pickets.

if you find yourself getting board of them missions go do a cave like squill cave for a change of enviroment.

once you master it you'll never look back
