When I started out the game, I wanted to be a tough guy with all kinds of "starwarsy" weapons. I saw the commando profession and thought: "THAT is what I want to become". The title "commando" says everything:

military unit trained and organized as shock troops especially for hit-and-run raids into enemy territory b : a member of such a unit .

But that's not what I would say about a commando. Instead they are more like heavy weapon guys with only ONE working weapon. The flamer.

Vote here for what you think the devs should rename the professions to. Commando is totally wrong.

I'll suggest either "Cannon Fodder" or "Whipping Boy" - depending on whether we're being sniped by riflemen or pummelled by the TKA's out there.

I hate to say it, but as of now we're more of Heavy Weapons Guy/Demolitionist hybrids.

With the direction the profession seems to be headed I'd say a good name is Explosives engineer, or Demolitionist.

Explosives Engineer would be cool IMO. It would be even cooler if we could make our own explosives.

But, dangit!! I wanna be a commando as per the definintion of "Commando"! Not some heavy weapon specialists, or explosives person, and definetly not a SUPPORT CLASS!!

man i would want the name to be explosiives expert only if we can craft our own rocket launchers,grenades, explosives, and weapons but hey thats just me
