there have been post that the upcoming mandolorian armor should only be worn by MBHs. i don't think MBH should be an requirement of wearing mandolorians armor since it would benefit anybody of any combat profession. However, the starwars website had some interesting info on mandolorian armor and boba and jango fett. stars wars states that jango was a mandolorian and had been trained by mandolorian mercenaries. Also, his armor designis traced back to the sith/jedi wars in which the mandolorians participated. The site also states that mandolorians were supercommandos. The armor that Boba wore, came equip with a rocket launcher as well as a flamethrower. As I am reading the website, I thought "Damn, if any professionshould haverights to the armor it should be commandos since they have the skill set to actually take advantage of all the heavy artillery that these things pack." Furthermore, I am a TKA with no commando skills. I just hate the fact the any one profession should claim the exclusive right to wear an armor that ranks with jedi in the terms popularity. Since, jango's weapon of choice were dual pistols, pistoleers would also have a claim. I think some noise has to be made by other professions, so thatsomething as sweet as mandolorian armor would not be limited to one segment of the population.

So Jango was a pistoleer/BH and Boba was a commando/BH.
They were the really smart bounty hunters, they only dabbled into. But their downfall ofcourse was their low defense, obviously relied too much on their uber armor...

If Boba's a BH/Commando, that explains why he was defeated by a blind pikeman...

the mandalorians were supercommandos..even the few left during jango's and boba's times (there were some mandorlians that pratrolled a sector of space..and joda kast..only ppl that the essential guides said had mandalorian armor)
and according to kotor...most mandalorians turned mercenery...and went into bounty hunting...
This is where sw and swg collide...anyone combat wise could be a bounty hunter....
...but only the best had the tracking skills
while in swg, you can ONLY do bounties if your a BH...
Originally, mandalorians were supercommandos..but apparently due to low defenses and their defeat in the mandalorian wars against the old republic..they began dabbling into BH

I understand where the DEVs are coming from and I really dont think they are going to budge on it being class specific. The problem is most people associate BHs with Mandalorian armor. With this in mind the DEVs decided that this would be a class specific item. I am not disaggreeing or aggreeing, just showing where they are coming from. This could be looked at as a hint of the future where the elite classes get specific armor. Of course we know how long that would take.

Well you just got to see the official lucasarts animated 'CLONE WARS' episodes.
Obi Wan sends a team of crack commandos who wore white mandalorian armor to attack a cannon in the middle of the city.
but frankly, for all the whining mandalorian armor is going to generate, id trade the mandalorian armor for some freaking working weapons and a commando-only low ham cost high resists (ar0 but 70% base) combat clothing.

Are you sure mandalorian is going to be BH only? I'd be willing to bet alot that anyone's going to be able to wear it. Now, that other armor maybe that's known only as bountyhunter armor in the client files might be a different story (it's that greensih mandalorian/RIS hybrid that some NPC's wear.)

No, there has been no statement yet saying it would be BH only. It is all just rumor and speculation.

ya mandolodians were supercommandos to the max i did some checking on them and man thees guys were nuts
i mean they had the bigest weps you ever see one man run around with
they love the thrill of battel and its all they lived for
blowing up stuff using gernades droids batel armordroid suites(the ran around in exoskelatons for armor 
just toltoly crazy theeys guys had the bigest guns the bigest explosons in any sw battels
they were defintly commandos
