Thread: Hey Garvin, What about our FS skills?

Well, there is a new patch today and i notice that they still have not fixed the ranged FS skills.


What is it going to take to get them to make the Ranged FS Skills work with heavy weapons. I spent a lot of time and effort to get the skills, I deserve to have them WORKING! It seems that they don't care about fixing them.


SO WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO FIX THEM?????


Or is it another "wait until the "Rebalance/Revamp/Upgrade" thing??

-who cares for fs, theres more important bugs to get rid of first, regarding commando

-why ask garv ? its a general prob not just a commando one ?


sry but i don think our represantative (spelling?) has to care for all and everything,

but commando specific issues/ideas etc.

There is a Force Sensitive Forum.


Anyway, I believe the failure to fix the ranged speed FS mods are a subliminal message to drop marksman and go melee. right now its all about "Teh melee".

For those of you who are just joining us,


The Ranged mods don't work on any of our weapons, We were kindly included in the melee mods. This is a bug that they know about.


So it is a COMMANDO ISSUE.


Secondly, the FS forum has NO correspondent and the JEDI one doesn't care. SO here i am a commando and I want my Heavy weapons to work with the Ranged MODs from FS. This is worthy of garvin's time.


Lastly, i hate playing melee and never will.

They are working fine, you have no idea what you are talking about!


**by Dev-inition of this is, if they are not working then that mean's they are working as intended. Therefore working fine.**

Unfortunately as it stands now, Ranged FS mods are not working for any Ranged Profession/Weapon...in fact Melee FS mods ARE working for all Ranged Professions/Weapons...this is obviously way backwards (although I believe the FS Melee mods also work for all Melee Professions/Weapons)...


Since the CU has started up, the Devs really haven't said much on the topic of the FS mods...I think the programmers, besides making other "make them happy" changes, and focusing more on getting the Sandbox online and the CU programing up and running. It's likely we'll see the FS fix come with the CU, but as one of those "if we have time" types of fixes, otherwise it'll probably be address afterwards...


It's a subject that often comes up in the Correspondent forum and hopefully I'll have some news to bring back soon...because of bugs like this I haven't even started creating my FS Character...

the weird thing is that FS melee speed DOES seem to work for the LLC, but not the FT

What I find funny with the "if we have time" responses...


We pay for content...we get bad content (or bugged content)...then we get a "if we have time" excuse...we're paying them for fixing these things and getting new stuff online!!!


They nixed a planned schedule for everything because they knew they couldn't keep every promise, they should really reword that response to "we'll be working on it soon" or "its on our list to do". The thought that they leave stuff from past publishes broken is just absurd, and they just make their pile bigger by stacking more and more "content" onto it.


Eh in my opinion, a "if we have time" response just seems a bit arrogant. They added an entire new system into SWG...and a good chunk of it doesn't even work! To me its like getting a new toy every month - would you rather get a brand new Tickle-Me-Elmo, or a half torn one with its eye missing with a note saying the Tailor with the repair kit is coming in 3 months?


It just strikes me as odd, as they should focus on quality...which hopefully will be happening soon with the CU sandbox.

let me put this all into perspective for you, We have no Corr, We have no Devs lookinig at our board, we are "A hole" in the system, they'll get around to it, one day...

No Correspondent? Huh? Did TH tell you something I don't know...


And actually we do have Dev lurkers...I often get a question or two about a Commando post from a Dev or programmer...most of them don't like posting in the various forums dispite what many think...they tend to get "Dev Tracker" stalkers who will either post off-topic in their threads or they get more questions then they can possibly respond to and still get their work done...So the Devs use us Correspondents to bring things to them and bring back messages from them rather then making posts in the various forums themselves...they'll occasionally do it, but when possible, they'll use us Correspondents...

oh.. umm... by "we" i ment the FS people... the jedi say we are grouped with everyone else but jedi, and that "we" arent really a prof...but its true that teh FS people have none...or im waiting to see one :/
