Quick question, would the defense vs. stuff from pistoleer work with commando when using heavy weapons and such, just wondering because we get +5 knockdown with field tactics 2, this would add to the +30 you get with Pistol stances 4?

Or +20

I think only the Lag... err Launcher Pistol will use Pistoleer skill mods. I havent used the LP since we were fixed because I've waited soooo long for the heavy weapons to be fixed (or at least useable). If they ever change the graphics on the LP to be "less laggy" I would use it all the time.

How is master commando/pistoleer, was thinkin about that. How many sp's you got left after that.

Its a good combo but right now Im so excited about heavy weapons finally working that I use them 99% of the time. When in PvP I use buildings and other obstacles to work my way into flamethrower range so I dont have a need for the pistol. And when I do use a pistol I just use my trustly FWG5.

One thing Im thinking about is layering health shot 1 and 2 while advancing on an enemy and then switching to FT when in range and use a special so they have a health bleed and the fire bleed. But I normally dont like to draw attention to myself when closing in on an enemy plus the health bleed is pointless given the effectiveness of the flamesingle special. However if they ever fix/remove the melee vs range bonus from the FT then I might need to incorporate the pistol more.

My hope is that commandos and their weapons have enough flexibility to stand on their own so I can drop pistoleer (*gasp*) and invest in something else. After I finnished master pistoleer/commando, I had 18 skill points left.

I've come to the conclusion there are two different types of defense mods.

Say counter-attack which only seems to be given with carbine. It only works with carbine. Or seems to anyways.

All the other defenses seem to work no matter what.

My friend when pure defense commando training all the trees of defense. He is a lot harder to knockdown, dizzy, etc than I am.

it will vary from server to server, and considering individual downtime of servers, would be hard to predict exact day.

But dont worry, you have at least 3 weeks to complete quest, you dont need to start it on the exact phase switch day.

Have a look at the sticky with the current phase before logging in someone from your server may post when it has switched.
