Thread: /aim ?
I use it mainly to start a battle in PvE, it adds to your accuracy and makes a nice starting shot.
In PvP... nah !
The last poster got it right. It gives you a bonus on accuracy for a given period of time. With a pistol it usually gives me a large accuracy bonus to my next shot and a smaller bonus to the shot after that.
As the last poster said, it's a good way to start an attack in PvE because the enemy doesn't actually enter the combat sequence until you fire at it, so it's like a free accuracy boost at the beginning. In PvP I never use /aim ... better to spend your time attacking the other guy than aiming.
do the skill mods picked up in the pistol marksmenship tree only improve /aim or do they also improve aim for regular/ special moves. i will be devasted if they only improve /aim.
They improve your accuracy all-around, not just with /aim. There is a special "Pistol Aiming" mod that helps with that.
My understand is that /aim increases your accuracy on the NEXT shot, be it special or normal.
And you can stack /aim at least twice.
I never use it.
PvE or PvP.
I just shoot, if i dont hit i can shoot again and hit quicker then aiming and shooting.

I was wondering if any of you commandos out there use /aim? I think it gives a +30 accuracy, but I'm not even sure if it stacks with our flamers. Should I add this a couple times to my flame macro, or is it not worth it?
Definitely worth it, just try it.
Usually I run up to my target and stop the second the flamesingle goes oof for a good hit. Course this is without Buffs. With Buffs I just use Flamecone. Accuracy is really only a problem with Heavy Weapons or in PvP for me.
