Thread: What am I missing?
I'm new to SWG and my first profession is Doctor. I sat down and spent a week and some change constant gringing and tumble healing to get to Master. I wasnt using my skills as I rose the tree and that has come back to haunt me. I ask alot of questions but people assume because im a Master Doc that i know things I dont. For example: I just found out about buff clothes a couple days ago. yesterday was the first time I heard the word Bolovi, let alone used it. Today i find out that having my armor on while buffing takes away from my buffs somehow. The buff packs i create suck. When i buy good ones I still cant buff worth a crap. I assume i must be missing some info that everyone assumes I know and I dont. What I'm looking for is a "Doc for Dummies" The basic game and Doc things I dont know as if I started the game a master Doc. Caue basically i did...
If not faq or a file, just tips and suggestions in reply would be great.

Not a good combination. Working through the profession youself will teach you almost everything you need to know about being a doc, but you found this out, obviously ![]()
You mean Bivoli right? It's a food that when eaten adds up to 25 points to your wound healing mod, which translates into roughly 200 points on a buff for a Master Doc.
For buff packs to be good you need meat/organics with +900 PE an OQ, you basically need every required stat (UT, PE, OQ, SR...) that is named on the schematic to have a value of +900, then you'll have exceptional buffs that will hit for around 2500-2600.
Be clothing is important in that it will add a constant +25 to your wound healing mod while you wear it, Check the stickies at the top of this page, there should be an faq or a link to an faq for you to browse in for more detailed answers.
Peace

When your armor is on, you probably had to remove a piece of skill clothing in order to do it, in effect reducing your buff amount
Same thing happened to me..

I do that constantly! Start buffing with my armor on, and forget to change pants (I have pantaloons with 25 wound healing). It's only the waste of a charge on my buffs, so it doesn't worry much, just frustrating 'cause I do it ALL the time! Lol ![]()

I put my 25 wound treatment in a shirt, costs more but I don't forget lol
That'll only work if ur wearing ubese, right? doesn't composite take off all clothing?
No, you can still wear a form fitted under**edit** under composite ![]()
Maybe others too, but that's the one I know of.
I wear my armor when Im hunting/fighting otherwiseI wear my med enhanced traders flightsuit. You can buff in armor with a underarmor type shirt and it wont change the power of your buff but it will put more of a strain on your mind. Other misconceptions are that the patient should be sitting thats garbage also the power of my buff is the same weather they or I are sitting/not sitting, for you sitting will help your mind regenerate faster. And they do not need to take their armor off that may have been the case before but it isnt now buck naked or in full set of composite never seen a difference.
As far as making good buffs go read the sticky and realize that it will take you some time to make good buffs, not because the sticky is hard to understand but because gathering the high quality resources required isnt something you can do over night. The FAQ is invaluable becauseI took the time to read it I havent wasted my own time and resources making bad buffs, my first run of buffs were 866 power 27 charges and 3:30 min duration. My second run 914 power 25 charges same duration. Dont just read it prinit it out and study it go back to it a few times, learn where you can skimp on quality and where you cant. The rest is going to be a matter of experience.
As far as buffing using other Docs buffs well assuming they are a good quality then the only thingI can say that hasnt been (bivoli/clothes/110 droid) is to make sure you /diagnoseyou are looking for bf above 250 if it is inform them that their battle fatigue will have a negative effect on the buffs. While we are talking about BF ive noticed that mine can be higher that 250 without any effect but there is a point where it will so before you start a buffs session spend a few minutes and make sure your at zero (takes no time at all in coronet).
Again the Sticky/FAQ is a wonderful sourse of info that you should take full advantage of.
