Thread: area attack on weapons

Is it just me and my plasma flamethrower, or does the area attack on the weapon do nothing more than anger the mobs?
I get no spam in combat that its doing damage... heck infact on a lvl 20 baby (tested to see if it was doing damage) it wasnt even ticking on its life.
Is this a known bug or 'working as intended'

Folks...I sticky information so we all can be on the same page concerning bugs... 
Its a big issue, Helios has talked to me about it (a while ago though)...I got a feeling he's one of the devs on vacation atm (a lot are), so it's coming...but it won't be a next day thing. Furthermore, the community is mobilizing...generating ideas to better commandoize our profession and have a more balanced, and fun AoE and High damage nature to our profession =)
