Thread: What Nerf?

talking about the fire extinguisher, which we have no idea who can use/make them but prolly not good for commandos, and also soon you will be able to only stack 1 DOT from your flamethrower. In addition to that i believe fire DOTs will now look at a targets resists for damage. all of these things will serverely limit the combat effectiveness of a commando.
well the DoT should go thru the targest resists lol if something is resistant to fire doesn't mean the it DoT is on it it stops being fire resistants surely
Surely this "fire extingusher" is the doctor skill to "put out" the flame DoT?
If its usuable by everyone then yeah, that sucks, but if its a Doctor skill then its no so bad. Are the other stackable DoT skills from the other combat classes getting nerfed too?
Oh well, I should hit novice tonight anyway, and probably still go toMaster just for the fun of it. Not a holo grind either, I'm just in a "character development limbo" phase, not sure what I want to do.
dont count on it stifler. TH, in all his wonderful fairness and few days old commando career, has stated that its 'unfair' that we can dot, oh 'scuse me, an 'incurable' dot, other players and that players running around attacking other people's pulls (read: creatures they were fighting) with the flamespecial and running away, griefing the others with the dot.
So its safe to bet he's pushing it so anyone will be able to use it.
Better yet, some jackass in SOE (dont know who, could be the same one mentioned above), put in the notes that the fire dot will now grant XP! Can you imagine now people will REALLY be rewarded for attacking other people's pulls with just one shot and running off.. the dot will then give them xp. BRILLIANT!
On other news, SOE made changes to the range modifiers of what we think is the acid rifle... you know, the 'lite' flamethrower that has no dot. I hope you join the celebration party the commando community is putting together. We'll play russian roullette with our fixed HARS.
And fire extinguishers might make PvP pointless as a commando. Imagine hitting someone in a full suit of comp with 80% resists for maybe 100 damage with one of our 9 sec delay (at Master) specials and then they just extinguish the dot.
Hell the only way I can kill a buffed oponent is to hit his mind. With a full set a doctor buffs you don't ever have to worry about getting health or action incapped. Hell I'm starting to think the only PvP template that'll be worth a **edit** now will be Master Rifleman/Master TKA.

The good news is we will not be limited to hunting durnis. The gimped-Commando bunny-like target of choice has always historically been leviasqualls. They give way better XP, and are so slow that you can run away from then (though you will need to invest in Scout for some terrain negotiation.
So the bad news is that, yes, we will be limited to being bunny slayers again, but the good news is that theywill beslightly more impressive bunnies than the ones you seem to be thinking of, so take heart.

Thank you I feel so much better, I was considering hanging around the citys where the meatlumps spawn , but then I thought if one of them had a knife I would need a medic standing by to keep me alive lomg enough to kill it.
