As I mentioned last time this article came up, Haden fully plans on responding to that article and the other one that folks have been discussing on the forum...I have no idea what he's going to say, but TH says he has been wanting to post something in response...the problem is that he has been traveling during the time that the article came out (not sure if he's done yet)...Hopefully we should see a response soon...
Many of us Correspondents discussed this and the other Article directly with the Devs...and NO Dev we spoke with told us they felt that forum members were just the whiners or trolls of the game...
It's my opinion that the people who visit and use these forums are those folks who care MOST about this game and it's state...I joined this forum even before I purchased the game...not to complain, but to get involved...I'm confident that the majority of other forum members joined for the same reason or to find answers...This is not a Whiner Board...THIS IS A COMMUNITY!!!
If anyone is ranting or complaining it is BECAUSE they care that much about this game to state their opinions and/or they need a platform to blow off steam...that's why I never fault a ranter (I may argue that I disagree with them, but I'd never disallow anyone from posting something negative...even if it's about me)...
That Article (and the other one) made a lot of us upset...even me...but I can't get fully upset until I give Haden the proper chance to respond...even if Haden doesn't respond, I know that Article is wrong because I know the people of OUR COMMUNITY...I know they aren't trolls...I know they aren't whiners...and I know several Devs who feel the same way I do...

While this may be true, he might have wanted to word what he was saying a different way. What this tells me is that he said what he meant, but didnt feel like putting a PR spin to it.
Exactly my feelings. People that post feverishly and with passion care a lot for this game. Be it rant or otherwise.
You are right. I will give him a chance to respond, but it is probably too late for the majority of the folks on the forums. I wont view him the same again.
Let me end it with I absolutely love the community. We have some awesome people on the forums.

Do all you folks read the same forums i do? These forums are full of people complining, if they had delayed JTL there would have been fleets of people complaining, if they had released the combat balance it wouldn't meet some peoples expectations and tehre would be complaints... The guys who are happy, well many of them, are playing the game.. this is true...
While there is a lot of valuable feedback on the forums there is also a lot of small mindedness, a lot of me-ishness, why isn't my profession fixed now, why did you make a change i didn't like, and a lot of whinging no matter what happens.
Fo r exmaple - They fixed NPCs so that they are more of a challenge and since then we have had posts complaining they dont have a weapon switch delay (can anyone say exploit waiting to happen if that was implemented?), that people are now getting killed by the same mobs that they used to defeat with ease, which i think i sthe whole point of the change etc.
Hadenis right, while there are many people on these forums providing useful help, feedback and other information there are also a lot of folks who will complain whatever happens, who refuse to see any bigger picture and just generally make a nuisance of themselves.
It's apparent that you don't seem to understand what the others are saying in this thread. It doesn't matter if his (Haden) statement was truthful, it's how he said it. If you have a company and you provide a service or product and you have a lobby full of people who feel that there is something wrong with your product, you don't walk into the lobby and say "I know you guys aren't happy with our product or else you wouldn't be here in the lobby whining about it". It's called tact, tact is being able to tell someone to kiss your a** and have them walk away feeling happy about it.
Most importantly you don't crap on the very customers that are payinmg your bills which is exactly what he did. Your goal is to make the customers that are unhappy happy, keep those that are happy happy, and present an image that all is well to bring in more customers. The first part Haden failed at dismally and from my understanding this hasn't been the first time he has done this.
Lastly, as paying customers we have the right to complain and rant if we are unhappy about something, that is what these forums are for, for the exchange of ideas and stories, to complain, to comment on the good and bad. If they don't like it then they need to stop providing the product or remove the forums. I have posted complaints,and as a paying customer they need to kiss my a** and act like they like it, that is the nature of providing a service/product.
People that cry about THAT change are the ones that expect to be able to solo anything, and be spoon fed! Whats the fun if NPCs are patheticly easy? Oh, and interestingly enough, the only board that i saw, was "complaining" was the jedi forums -_-
Yea, people would complain if JTL was pushed back, but so fricken what!? Complaining about release dates on an expansion when you know it should be here before the year ends shows a serious lack of patience. Granted, people complain no matter what, but the crowd that complains about stupid things is realy smaller than you think.
Untill then, lets show what ever little bit of patience we commandos have, and see how this JTL and combat rebamp plays out.
