Not sure if this has been posted here, but I got a call from a guild mate in trouble last night needing my help. He asked for my help (i'm a master doc) in the theed clone center, so i asked what was wrong. The poor guy was stuck in the clone facility alive, IE not a corpse, but he had negative health stats because of wounds. What I mean is, his default health pool was 800 and he had 1232 health wounds as a result of fighting a commando while buffed. while fighting this commando he managed to incur more black health wounds than he had default pool for as a result of healing himself while fighting a commando who used flamesignle on him. Now, this wouldnt have been a huge problem for me if he was anywhere but the clone center cause guess what? you cant heal wounds in the clone center even with a med droid...

so just slowly drag him up the ramp you say? no go either. every time you drag a corpse within the clone center it just skips between cloning tubes and doesnt really come to you. the solution however came to me. its rather hard to explain but i'll try. keep doing /drag inside the clone center until the corpse ends up in the tube just to the right of the exit ramp (as you are in the bottom facing the exit...). then, walk up the ramp and just outside the doorway to the clone center so that you are barely out of the building. at this point you'll be 25m away from the body. do /drag again and because this game has horrible pathfinding code, it'll just warp him through the walls right to your feet where you can then fix up the player outside the confines of the no/wound clone center.

this is really an enormous problem with buffs, flamesingle, and the way this game works in general. if this issue has not been discussed with any developer, whomever the correspondent is here, i IMPLORE you to do so. something needs tobe done about this immediately as it has the potential to render someone useless until they can raise a CS response (lord knows thats never a quick item). to my knowledge, not even a server re-set could fix this matter...

also, to those of you who may suggest alternatives to this problem, the following failed: he was not able to duel me or accept my challenge. the quickwound function would not work on him. /eject did not work either. relogging failed, as did restarting the computer. as i mentioned, only a very tricky use of /drag was able to get him to safety.

To all of you compassionate commandos out there (and i know there are few of you now that you are the flavor of the month) if you ever see this happening to someone who is obviously buffed, please please dont render them a useless character for multiple hours on end until they can find an intelligent medic to heal them. be the good samaritan and find a medic/doc/cm and get them to aid the person whom you just rendered unplayable, its really the only right thing to do. please, all of you read and share this knowledge. I dont want people loosing countless hours of game time to a monumental testing oversight by the developers. and Mr Commando correspondent (whomever you are), please make sure they are aware of this ASAP cause it has the potential to ruin someones gaming experience

This is a known bug. I believe it's fixed on Test center. So a fix is in the works.

yeah, disease does it to, and its rather annoying. From what i've read, they're going to lower the burn wound from commandos specials or lower the DoT.

its good to know its at least known, i'm kind of ashamed I have to even write this if its a known issue, especially if its been known for a decent length of time... potentially gamestopping issues like this SHOULD be in the realm of hotfixes or top priority for the devs. i guess not. its prolly cause it didnt make it to the top of thier "priority" list...

The current commando skils/abilities have proven to be mostly just patchwork. The only reason that the FT has been able to deal that sort of damage to people like your friend is mistake in the coding that treats our attack as if were fighting melee. Thus, giving us a very large bonus for specials.
Once the Devs decide to get on the ball on this issue, the FT will no longer be able to do such enormous damage. It'll just be another slow, close range, high ham, non-defense mod weapon for the commando to die with.

If you could do that, couldn't you just heal the wounds?

This issue is listed under the fixes on Test Center. Might I ask why your friend was dumb enough to not just jump in some water (if on tatooine, obviously, disregard this)? If he had the time to incur 1232 health wounds he definately had time to jump in a river.

This is a buff problem and not a commando damage problem.
