Thread: CU Commando No Specials No State effects.. Hmmm
Although if you wanted to go "shopping" for specials, you could for example take a powerful Carbineer AOE attack, use it with a Heavy Acid Rifle, and have a high-damage AOE Blind attack...

one thing that does concern me is the lack of the "knockdown recovery," "dizzy recovery," and "stun recovery" skills.
All our specials are built into our weapons. So looking at the commando tree won't show a thing. You need to check the weapon description to get the list of specials and states applied by that weapon
Also, we can pretty much use any special from any profession we have with all our heavy weapons. Did i mention that grenades have states too
Don't judge a book by its cover

Actually, we get KD recovery via Novice Marksman & Novice Brawler (to bad they don't stack)...
And yes, most of our grenades and various weapons have state effects built in...and our FTs (notice it's plural now...yay!) take any ranged special used with them and CONVERT them into flame specials with a DoT and Area of Effect.

Do you mean only our FTs will use the specials from other trees Garvin? I was under the impression that we could use our specials from our other professions with most/all of our commando weapons.
We will be able to us all ranged specials with all of our ranged weapons...and likewise, we will be able to use all Melee specials with our Massassi Knucklers...
What I mean is, certain weapons, like our FT, will add additional effects to the specials we use...in the case of the FT, if you use a special from Pistoleer, it wil do the same thing it's meant to do, but increase the damage to "heavy weapon level", add a Fire DoT to it, and make it an AOE...that's what I mean by taking any special and coverting it to a Flame Special...other weapons we have also have other effects that they might add to the specials but our FTs are the most obvious thanks to the DoT.
Makes the job so much easier...
