Due to artwork and animation issues, the Underslung Carbine is on hold for now.

I personally doubt it... that's about as commando as you can get. It's mini-gun, not a standardcarbine.

i was thinking the same thing but if carbineers do get it that would make for some interesting commando/carbineer templates.

Just a thought...
If we're content with the Proton Rifle (which I feel is our long wanted Assault Rifle...although the Proton Carbine is a tad cooler [The Rifle though looks HEAVIER!], and it does cold damage...)...then there may just be a chance for a carbine
If we already had a carbine, adding another later on would be pointless...

Muahahaha! Speaking of contentment with the Proton Rifle, does it look to anyone else like the concussion rifle a bit?

What concussion rifle? The Concussion rifles from Star Wars were massive long-barreled designs. The PR is a shorter assault-style rifle as opposed to the concussion rifles 'one-man-artillery approach'. Would be cool if we got the concussion rifle though, since concussion shots cant be blocked by lightsabers. 
For reference, this "Proton Rifle" is a poor knock-off the H&K OICW's lower half of the receiver that normally chambers 5.56mm NATO/.223 Remington. Please do not be fooled, this design isnt original. The Germans thought of it first! Why the devs dont credit Heckler and Koch for the obvious design base is beyond me. They stole it. They know it. Now you can too.

Anyone got a picture of this underslung carbine? I heard about it but never saw it and its not int he list of weapons off the frog.
