Thread: Why I really hate Jedi

Ima nice guy; I gave you a few 5s.
I hate Jedi because...
- Most hologrinded, and 90% of all hologrinders I have ever met have no respect for the profession they're grinding through, or the people devoted to that profession.
- /forcerun is really a pain in the ass. Have the decency to stand and fight, dammit. I'm a commando, I'm virtually harmless. Running from me is thusly pointless.
- /avoidincapacitation. Never seen it done, only heard about it. The name itself pretty much tells me it's a cheese move.
- "lol, i pwned j00!"(seriously...are most Jedi really 12 year olds in disguise?)
- I see more Jedi than I do rangers, master commandos, master BHs, squad leaders, pikemen, and carbineers combined. That's just not right.
I'm sure there are plenty of other reasons I could hate Jedi, but I'd rather not look for them. What I've already listed is more than enough.

Not to offend everyone, but why do you hate jedi again? The "exploit" may not have been an exploit. If it was a jedi that died, the master enhancers have a self rez power, also the hermit ring allows you to self rez. Could be also that someone logged a doc in or another character that was logged out in the base specifically for that purpose.
As for the comment about avoid incap, it is not very useful, costs alot of force (and ifa jedi needed to use it, then most likely they would not have the force to use it anyway). It is no different than using feigndeath or force of will.
The comment on jedi running, the reason alot use force run is to get the terrain negotiation, I personally take the scout line specifically to give me terrain negotiation on my non jedi characters.
Reason a commando should dislike fighting jedi: saberblock on flame throwers.
Also, I 5 starred you a bunch also, I hate anyone trolling the forums to go and 1 star people, that is just rude. But don't let a forum troll give you a distaste for jedi, most are reasonable adults.
Agree with the above poster, commando/pistoleer is an awesome combination, another good one is the BH pistol and LLC lines with commando. Throw in what ever smuggler you can, and you have a great blast, fire, acid, electricity fighter.

Hmm...
I guess you hate me, then...
Even though...
I never hologrinded
Any player with aranged prof (which Jedi can become with saber throw) that stands toe to toe with a melee prof (which is essentially what Commando in its current form is) is a complete moron. So, you hate them for using an advantage (kiting melee?)
/avoidincap is no more cheesy than /feigndeath...It only work for 30 seconds, its not like it puts the player in permanent god mode. The self rez thing that enhancers can do was most likely what the player did (was he a Knight? If so, he is perma-overt, so no need to find a recruiter))
The pwnd joo comments...Have you ever played a Jedi? Everywhere I go, people spit on me (if I am wearing a robe/holding a saber)and they dont even know me. Everytime I log in, some thrill seeking grief boy BH is sending me a /tell wow you are really all over the terminals (as if there is MORE than one mission on me, it just kept popping up as he refreshed, the moron).....The pwned joo morons are most definately not limited to Jedi. I would say its fairly spread out.
So you see more Jedi than: Rangers (pretty much worthless); MCommandos (worthless and broken); MBH (absolutely NO point in the skill pt expendature); SL (broken); Pikemen (lousy defs, no good crafted weapons, have to have a 1 in a million loot weap to be competitive - dot hoors); carbineers (no defense, INSANE HAM costs on specials, limited weaponry)
Respect? For a profession in game? Give me a break. Some take a couple days. Some take a week. None are hard to master. You do the math.
I am done.
- They DEMAND respect, and if that is not met, they get angry
- They think they are "the 1337 |-|4x0rs" especially the ebayers (steal my kills at fort tusken and called me a n00b AFTER i got the tusken kings life down)
- running around with their lightsabers hanging out...disgusting
- exploit like us, and complain when they get banned and call it "unfair" and "singling them out"
- demand a fix IMMEDIATELY putting all the other professions on hold
- Saying that a profession which is ment to take on jedi's shouldnt happen because we can kill them
- think that they are so important, the devs should focus only on them
- demand more content for them first
i dont speak for all of them, but that is what i usually see

Look, I'm not trying to start a fight with you or anyone else here.
I am simply stating my experiences with Jedi.
Yes, feigndeath is also a cheap move; I don't have it, nor do I want it, simply because of that.
A Jedi Knight kiting a commando seems stupid to me; stand and fight. I mean, you can block my flamethrower, after all. Kill me in a straight fight, not using cheap hit and run tactics.
Their lack of respect for other professions bother me, but not nearly as much as their lack of respect for the people of said profession. It's disgusting how many I've seen trash talk players of other professions because we aren't them. It's disgusting how I've seen them say thing like "I was glad when I finished my grind for commando. They're lame as &^%!# and suck!"
In fact, I have only met one Jedi in-game who earned my respect, and he was Rebel at that.
He fought me honorably, straight up, no hit and run and no forcerun. Killed me, too.
And then he bowed to me.
No "i pwned j00" like so many others I've encountered. No laughing because I'm of a "lesser profession". That is someone that is a credit to the Jedi profession. He's the only one I've met yet.
On the other hand, every other Jedi I have encountered during gameplay strikes me as being an immature kid.
Yes, I know this behavior is not limited to Jedi, but most of these kids are migrating towards being Jedi just so they can "pwn" people.
You apparently have an alt that is commando, else you'd not be here. I don't want to start a fight within our community over this. There are just my experiences with Jedi; yours may be different, and I sincerely hope they are. However, what I've seen and dealt with is what has left me somewhat jaded about the game and the Jedi profession in general.
