just wanted to give you guys a nudge to get back in PvP....with my commando/carb 2002 template I've beat so far:
defense stacker : TKM/M brawler, pistol def., fencer def. ( we were both buffed)
BH/carbineer (BH buffed, me unbuffed...the lack of medic and my nasty flamer killed him hehehe)
carbineer/swordsman (rematch coming up as he didn't have his best weapnon on him att, both buffed)
fencer/BHpistols/pistoleer (both buffed)
Worst opponent so far: any melee/doc template...almost impossible to beat if they know their stuff
All of the aboveare pretty good pvp'ers (though the tank might be the least skilled of em all I think)

The people I have the most trouble with PvPing are Sword/Doc and Rifle/Doc.
The only waya brawler stacker can win is if they have several strong mindfire DOTs (which they all seem to have nowadays).
And of course any template with a little medic is going to mean a lot harder kill for a Commando.
Right now with armor and foods, there aren't any professions other than Swordsmanand Rifleman (and Jedi) that can do devistating DPS. It pretty much comes down to who has the best DOTs, and commandos can still get a pretty mean fire going.

yup...docs suck as opponent every time I have a few dots sticked on em I try to warcry so they can't cure it straight away.
The biggest prolblem I ahve with docs is /curstate dizzy though.....al the others are dead once they are on their back....but docs never stay down

/unarmed Dizzy

/intimidate
/stun
/flamesingle2
/flamecone2
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

/points up
notice the lack of any TK skill in my template...
and it's always better to open witha warcry, then stack 2 intimidates (it still doesn't break WC in my experience), then dizzy/stun/KD
problem is a lot of docs have a /healstate dizzy; /stand macro running

damn died today to the hands of a BH pistoleer.....his health fire ticker for more then mine lol....also got action fire from him.
I had him running for his live with less then 300 health when I got a muon downer....the guy noticed and eyeshot me to the cloner pretty fast
Learned some valuable lessons again...
fyi: I'm having most of these 1 on 1 fights thanks to a player bounty service (great fun being hunted)

next one down: Carbineer/Swordsman....close call (max mindwounds from gamorrean battle axe)....
My huge assortment of food saved my ass this time (most importantly exo cakes and mandelorian wine)
I got him with the kd/dizzy carbine + HPBC tactic (twas a guildie), fight lasted 25 minutes I used up about 30 HPBC shots and 15 rockets lol

clearly there needs to be more pvping commandos, im getting sick of fighting swordsmen/docs, defense stackers and other riflemen.

Good to hear! I started to take up carbineer to go along w/ master commando but was told that fencer 4040 or 0440 would be better cuz of the defences that come along w/ fencing. Maybe I should rethink things since I haven't dropped any of my carbine skills yet??I also havesome medicto heal and4040 scout to harvestand for terrain negotiation. Hmmm.......

yupyup I think carbs go just fine with this
(unless you're fighting doc templates or uber defense stackers)
I'm haveing a boatload of fun PvP'ing with this prof....everyone underestimates you from the getgo
Just a little tip to compensate a bit for the low defenses: when I go KD ans my synth is out I chew on a exo protien cake (5 fillinf 25% damage red for 15 turns...should be better though). it seems to keep me alive a bit longer
After checking the combatlog I noticed I even hit my opponent about half the time when moving with my +86 accuracy HPBC's
