See, I picked up a +25 Heavy Weapon Speed CA for my commando the other day, and it seems to have no effect. 2-h speed tapes, I could check the weapon and see the effect of the tape immediately. Heavy Weapon Speed tapes seem to change my stat in the character sheet, but don't actually seem to apply to the weapon. So figured I'd ask before investing in any acc/def tapes. Any suggestions? Is it broken?

All heavy weapons skill attachments are now working. The place to check, however, is not on your status sheet. With the mod unequiped, examine a heavy weapon in your inventory, then do the same with the mod equiped. Your modified attack speed should change. The only time this should not change, is if you already have +25 of the same modifier equiped. All mods are still capped at +25, regardless of displayed values. In order to exceed +25 speed, you would need to make use of general ranged speed modifiers.

Your modified attack speed should change.
That's the problem though. My speed on my skills sheet gets the +xx/+xx thing going properly (dunno what it's at now, was +20/+45 when I first got it) and my character sheet numbers change. But the modified speed of the weapon, and the modified DPS, aren't changing. I wondered if this might be a problem with the whole UI updating bug that's happening with resources and things, but it doesn't seem to be, cause I can force that to update by opening and closing the window. It's not affecting any of the weapons I checked with (my corellian destroyer, my launcher pistol, my heavy acid rifle, or my flamethrower), so I figured I'd ask if it was broken. I'm checking again right now to make sure it wasn't just some strange form of lag or something...
Nope. Weapons still aren't affected by the shirt with the tape on it. I'm so confused. Might it be an idea to CSR ticket it? *laughs* It's hard to judge based on something like weapon speed, but I can't say I've noticed a difference any kind of difference in speed just watching either.
And as to where I got it, I was bored and looking through the bazaar while waiting for a couple friends to group with, and found it on the bazaar for a stupidly low price (for my server). +25 Heavy Weapon Speed, +21 Poison Resistance. Woohoo. Straight into my Ithorian Mystic Shirt.

Hard to say. All heavy weapon mods work perfectly fine for me. And I've got a jazzed out bando, shirt and ADKed armor with mods galore. (As well as a bunch of AA's I have set asside for an even better suit once they fix AS health bonuses on armor.)

Would you be so kind as to check the the numbers still update Pub20?
I kinda wonder if it's actually working, and just not updating any numbers for whatever bugged reason. Guess I'll CSR Ticket it next time I'm in game.

I got a +25 heavy weapon accuracy tape but it didn't update the modified DPS, but then I didn't really expect it to, the calculation doesn't take into account accuracy does it?

On your character menu (i.e control C)? No. No heavy weapons mods are reflected there.
However, you should see an increase in damage.

I've been hearing the bug with resource stacks also affects modified weapon DPS updating, but I did notice my weapons missing a whole lot less....

From what I UNDERSTAND, the more accuracy you have the more damage you do. Sounds right, in theory, since you are more accurate, you hit better red zones

I think the only reason you do more damage is simply cause you miss less often. I've never noticed it doing more damage without mods than with. (Including foods) on a per hit basis. But damage over time definately. Especially on high end mods since witht he right foods and template. You pretty much never miss. PVP is a tad different due to all the different templates and allt he various foods. It also helps as a mitigation against penalties such as blindness (Which tempoarily lowers accuracy) etc. Meaning if you have a template like mine MCom/MBH and have no state recoveries. It's not such a big deal.

I've also just found this out. I got +25 HW Speed tape, and put it on my boots. But my modified DPS didn't change. It changed on my character sheet, but not on the gun. Now the question is: Does the gun still use the effects, but just not show it? Or does speed do nothing anymore?
