I could be way off here, but I seem to remember someone saying a minefield is a faction perk under installation and you use mines to replentish it. However, I didnt notice minefields in the perk list, I gonna look. But more than likely, if I am right, they are as broken and worthless as everything else the devs put in game before testing.

There is a mine field listed as a Rebel perk I know, but not sure about Imperial though I would assume they have them too.

yes i do realize that. let me restate the question. there are 3 mines that can be crafted... i just remember a link to check on this. they are: drx mine, xg mine, and an anti vehicular mine. does it take any sort of certification to use these, or can anyone use them?

Minefields are a faction perk and take up a lot and have maintenance charges.

They can be loaded and reloaded with 25 mines.

Best used in conjunction with a covert scanner.

Thought I would clairify a few things since I am working with mines and mine fields lately...

They do not have a maint fee.

Anyone can place the minefield down and load it up with mines.

It does not care if you are covert or overt, you will get a big-booma if your within range.

The Boom isn't that big. There is a Rebel town where I shop regularly that has a minefield. I run through it all the time and have never taken more than 200 health damage from the mines.

I have some mines, but I can't figure out how to lay them down.

Can anyone help?

The damage depends on the type of mine you use. The anti-vehicular ones do a lot of damage, the first couple only do so much. It's if they keep hitting them.

If you fill it up fully with mines, then it can be a terror.
