Thread: Raising the Dead with a flamethrower

When I kill an NPC with my flame, they get back up and can still attack. I've experienced this problem about 80% of the time. I usually have kill them 2 more times in order for them to be truly dead. Its as if I'm incapping them. Has anyone else seen this? I've reported the bug and not heard anything back. I didn't see this issues posted anywhere else so I apologize if someone else has already brought this up.

Thanks for all your help

the damage that is done by the umm thingy the burn, does NOT kill them

if the base damage hits them, they die, but if they die from the burn, it just incaps them

Yes if the burn tick isthe actual last amount of damage dealt on the killit will only incap the enemy rather than kill them. When their regen finally catches up you will in return have the "flaming zombie effect" and hit them with an actual damage shot to make sure they are dead.

Pissed me off at first... now I find it kinda fun. They fall down and as they stand I walk up and fire a round or 3 into their head with a pistolto seal the deal.

Yes, veeeeery funny and useful in high level PvE, go figure. 5 or more enemies, all down to (almost) zero health, burning, screaming - but yet not dying and happily hitting you over and over. /clap

if fell over

target said corpse of xxxx (witnessed by 20+ pa mates....)

I turnedand started to walk away...

it stood up and did retreat

healed 100% instantly

and incapped and db'd me in about 2 secs at range (64m(that LD ate my life....))

I'm gonna end up necro-ing this thread, but yeah, this incap thing is horrible for bh missions while grinding investigation (i know i know i should have respec but i used it on cm and doctor before i realized i hate healing people) since i travel out like 3000m to the middle of no where on planets without cities and shuttleports only to attack my target, kill him in one hit, and have him get back up and not even aggro me, hes unattackable from this point on. So i get faction points from whatever faction he belongedto but i don't get my bh mission completed.

I don't know how many vehicles I've lost from this...

I "incap" the NPC, and he jumps back up, doesn't attack me, but makes a bee-line for my ride & blows it up, all before I can hit him.

There goes 15k, thanks to a bug.
