Well, it has happened again my fellow commandos... no love for the commando on the update patch currently in tc... actually we got the (GASP!) dreaded DOT nerf. Granted, it will affect all the professions to a certain degree... but we are going to be the worst off. "DOT will now reduce the pool to 1."

/sigh

when will it end? i cant count the times that the fact that my target had 4 different burns stacked on em is what saved me...

there are more interesting notes in the test center forum, just wanted to warn you all of this impending NERF!

by worst off i thiunk he was referring to th fact that the flame dot makes up a bi part of a commandos power. several times ive been incapped and about to be DBed when my flame dot finished the npc off.

CMs, if they solo, would probably take this hard too soince they do the majority of their damage through pure poision dots, so same senario except they wouldnt have to get within 16m so if they're incapped theres a greater chance their mob is poisioned and theyd be counting on it to finish em.

i personally am not terribly fond of this, i think dots should have the power to incapacitate players and NPCs, just disperse after that, or at most dissipate quickly after incapacitation to avoid grief in the battlefeild and people yelling at commandos because they have 1000 wounds across the board from a flame dot.

but TC is, in theory, for testing patches, just because it appears there doesnt mean it will go through, or go through as is at least

Right, so I guess the thought of having Resits apply to DOT's has completely slipped the minds of the 100 or so monkey's coming up with this crap...it's not something completely crippling but with the new Death Penalty this could cost me some extra durability percentages. I've been saved quite a few times by my trusty ol' flame dot. /shrug It's going to be a while before they stop changing crap around.

I think the flame dot nerf isn't a bad thing per say...but it should only be PvP that it takes things down to 1...that makes sense...PvE should stay the same for the exact reason mentioned above, to hopefully protect against a death blow...and even if you don't get DB'd, what's the point of taking a NPC down to 1...you just get up and fire 1 more time, game over...

So Devs...Nerf the dot PvP...YES!!! Don't Nerf the dot PvE....

It doesn't really make sense. Every time I get hit with a flame thrower IRL, it never stops burning right before I pass out.

Look's like our one legged profession is about to get a blister on it's last foot.

Looks like we are going back to the class that gets laughed at, I can hear it now from a novice Musician, "Your burn doesn't work any more. After a while this burn kinda feels good. I think I will go play WHILE I am on fire."

Agreed. Who the hell thinks of this? If I set someone on fire, that means they ARE ON FRICKEN FIRE! If you sat your ass on your couch or chair and lit yourself on fire, you would be consumed and would roast to death. You wouldn't sit there alive and wellwith 99.9% 3rd degree burns, would you? o.O

Sadly, all my most truthful and heartfealt responses to this at the moment would get edited out at the moment. Maybe I will think of something constructive to say about this in the morning, but it seems like they want everyone be an entertainer since they are the only ones not being pummeled by the nerf bat. First the 2.5x modifier, now this, what next. Commando weapons to powerful so we are going to cut damage in half.

I would be interested to hear our correspondents opinion on this and any measures he took/is taking to argue our point?

Mastersyn are you awake bud? We have 2 issues in the pipeline, this DOT down to 1 and the possible LP nerf, we need your voice right now.
