Ok my friend was at my house today playin his master rifleman/midlevel medic and I watched him in Anchorhead killing imp raiders, but he could kill bout 4-6 of em before he ended up dying. Also, hes not buffed, and a wookiee, so no armor. Sometimes he used some muon but really just straight fighting. These imps were pretty good, master commando among them, and he just owned them. Now, we use so many more skill points than rifleman, so why are they getting better (anyone hear bout the concussion rifles?) while we get nerfed. It doesn't make any sense at all.

Its this simple:
why the hell should they put work into fixing proffesions for the people who pay money out of thier own pockets, when they can just take away something and call it "balance" - It makes perfect sense! People will be quiting thier accounts at unpresidented rates! Pure Genius!

In all honesty, I'm ready to quit this game for about a month or 2 .. or 6... I'm sick of having devs make these sudden decisions hands down before they ever ask what everyone thinks of it. When enough people cancel thier accounts, SOE will start to take this game seriously. Its clear that they fail to realise people work hard to get something, not to just lose it because some whiny kids somehow feel the need to get within 16m of flamesingle2. Not everyone has a lot of spare time on thier hands so it might even take months to master something. There is NOTHING more discouraging and aggrivating than to lose something you like and know there are MANY alternatives to nerfing.
The best thing they could ever do from here on out, is to listen to the people who pay them to play thier game thattheySHOULDbe fixing when THEY make mistakes.
But alas... this is just another post that will land of def ears.. in a thread no dev will ever take notice, in a boardthe devs pretend to care about, whocode NERF a game that we all want to get better so badly.
So contradictory to your statement halmet about this game having a bright future.... World of warcraft is coming soon. SWG devs arent prepared to listen to us any time soon... I'm sick of listening to them make excuses...only reason why im still here or ever will be is becauseI love almost anything StarWars

Hmm, never mind, I took a look at the Rifleman forum and it looks like they're getting the Tenloss Disrupter Rifle instead of the Concussion Rifle, so perhaps there's still some hope that we'll eventually get it.
Still, it's very irritating to see all these cool, new weapons for every other elite combat class (except maybe BH's) other than the Commando.

Former Master Commando but found its just not worth it for the points maby if I had millions of creds to blow on rockets it would help but for now am bbq specialist/master pistoleer/dirty fighter (So I can use specials on my LP since commando gets 0 ) now I know defense mod stacking is getting the nerf (and rightfully so) but really is any thing going to be done with the riflemen? Use the panic/lowblow combo which misses 90% of the time only to get my head blown off from any where between 5m-64m.
64m I can understand 40m 30m maby but 5m?! Really that is crap if I survive that long they should not be shooting my bloody head off from 5m away with a T-21! Now that dot is getting the nerf to even the suicide run with a lucky hit will go unrewarded.
If any body can find a way to kill these bastards (no tef mind you) please let me know I would like to see that outcome of a MC vs a MR at 64m to if any body has any horror stories.

I reckon the rifleman needs half it's accuracy mods to be +xx when prone, or at least kneeling. Having fired a military rifle I can honestly say the emphasis is not on standing and shooting, let alone moving and firing. If possible you get down and prone, plain and simple, now I'm no advocate of extreme realism but a rifleman pissing all over other ranged professions in most scenarios needs sorting without totally crushing them. The cycle of nerfing is vicious, and always comes back to your profession at some point. Eh...
