I am currently running up the flame spec 4 branch. I am 0,0,2,0 and I notice that in PvP I do not hit that often.
I was wondering. At flame spec 4 (0,0,4,0) does this change considerably? How often would you say you miss in pvp?

I'd like to hear some Commando comments on this. I'd like to see whose got the nards to go PvP with a flamethrower because I would love to hear some sucess stories. With composite resists as high as they are and the Flamethrower having AP of a big fat 0 I switch to rifle to be honest. I'm sure the DOT helps a little though...

My friend and I play as TKM/Commandos. At Flame 4, you seem to miss often. However at Master Commando We seem to be pretty dead on. Maybe missing 1 out of 5 with a FlameSingle2, and 1 out of 10 withnormal fire.
We coordinate using teamspeak. One of us knocks our current target down, Both flame, and then GO TKM to attack the weakest bar. A two man death squad in PvE and PvP.

Ya you do miss a lot, and if they have maxed ranged defence, and dodge or counter... dont even bother.

I miss more that I hit. I do not use the FT very much in PVP but when I do manage to hit someone, it does do pretty good damage.
FT is not my weapon of choice.

FT takes a hit to accuracy when the target is moving. Use suppression fire or a KD if you have one to try and get them to stop moving before you use your flame special.

The only way to compete at all imo is with a sub 2.0 speed flamer.

The time's I've PvP'd with the FT (close quarters, in a building) I'd say I hit roughly 50% of the time. The part that stunk though, was that it hardly dented the guy's health (he was fully buffed TKM/Rifleman.) That, and I had a mind disease and was unbuffed (with my super 400 HAM in action and health
)

I use knockdownfire, then go in and flame single 2 and its over. Oh u might have to use a posture change if he has high KD defense. Also snowflake will make u rarely ever miss.
