Hi peeps,
If you come across any info regarding the Protonrifle please post it on this thread 
I have yet to find any info on it..

Ok what we know now:
Rifle is random loot drop from GrievoustheNK-Necrosis at bottom of Myydril cavern. Several people seem to have been getting the weapon that way..
Should be a quest like the MBH CarbineI think.. not random loot.. so we shall see.. maybe there is a quest aswell.. but its looking dim

I believe the word about it was it's a reward for completing avatar station.
And there are other RotW quests I've seen too, some sound... interesting...

You can get the quest for the proton Rifle in the Myyydril Caverns.

The Proton Rifle, and other assortment of neat weapons, can be found in Myyydril Caverns/Kkowir Forest. That's all the clues I can give.

I hope they don't make you choose between either the rifle or the carbine... that would be agonizing asa BH-Commando.

I would normally... but I'm a MBH, and have to grind up to master commando now.

Looks like you can get both though. I'm betting Sev is the one that gives the quest.

relax, the proton carb comes from a different quest. i know cuz i got methe carband it is awesome. 331 base dps. but the rifle does look alot cooler imho, cant wait to see what the action cost on it are, it seems all rotw quest weapons have really nice action cost upon nice dps

Been exploring the Myyygdril village a bit and so far I have found an NPC who only talks to weaponsmiths and a smuggler who modifies rifles. The smugler only talks to other smugglers, just started his quest.
Hoping for the smuggler atm. Would go inline with the fact that someone here found a note in the .tre files for a smuggler quest regarding the proton rifle.
But ultimatly I hope its the WS one since they most likely will get a schem for it, like the RIS one. (all speculation)
