Thread: Questions regarding poisons... help appreciated.
Potentcy is best described as having 2 main effects: first of all, the chance that one use will infect a target, the higher the better; second of all, it relates to how long the DOT will last on that target once sucessfully applied, of course, higher is better.
Effectiveness is DIRECTLY related to damage per tick (6 RL seconds). The best formula to determine damage is this DMG= (DoT Eff)*(1+(CM Eff/100)). Therefore if you are a Master CM, you will hit for 2 times what the DOT is rated for.
Range is literally the range at which you can be from the target to apply the poison/DoT: I dont know the formula for range but suspect it is the same as above.
Med Skill use is of course what CM or Medical Skill Use rating you must have to use it.
Uses are the number of charges per single inventory item. Generally, this is a lax stat during crafting unless you are using Rancor Bile which gives you a Use of 121-122 base.
Things that affect stats:
Infection Amps directly relate to eff. Dispersial mechanisms relate to Uses. God I cant remember the other one, but it relates to Potentcy. If i am wrong with this last part please forgive me I am doing this off sheer memory.
