Thread: CM or Doc?

**THIS IS NOT A FLAME**
I'm considering the usefulness of thetwo elite healing professions: doc and CM. It seems to me that a master doctor would be more useful to a group out hunting (PvE is the basis for my conclusions, please do not include any PvP answers) than a master CM. My reasons:
Doctor:
1.Master Docs: Can buff very, very well. (This also leads to a good source of income, I think)
2. Doctors: Can resuscitate. (HUGE plus when PvE)
3. Master Docs: Can heal very, very well... except not ranged/area.
4. Doctor resources are much easier to come by. (I realize this is subject to change)
5. Docs can cure status effects
6. Doc takes fewer Skill points so you can master a combat profession like Teris Kasi
7, you can make a BUTTLOAD of money selling full sets of Buffs as a Master Doc
8. you can make a BUTTLOAD of money selling stims that are crafted better than stims made by combat medics. (this is due to the FULL experimentation range of a master doc)
9. you can make a BUTTLOAD of money off of combat medics selling them the components needed for effective stim packs.
CM:
1. Ranged/area stimpacks (I'd rather be able to use 1 & 2 from above in combat)
2. The controversial poison/disease packs. (I'd rather be able to use 1 & 2 from above in combat)
3. Mind heal, however limited. (I'd rather be able to use 1 & 2 from above in combat)
4. Terrain Negotiation (Not that important to me)
You might say, "Well then why don't you just become a doc?" But I don't want to give up on CM that quick. Please give me insight because i'm making decisions not based on experience.
yes, you are correct. Master Doc isa better choise for PvE

So in your (or anyone's) opinion, a doctor is definitely more valuable to a group that's out PvE'ing.
A CM can only heal 5 of 12 types of "combat damage" so a Doc makes an overall better combat healer (strangely enough). But a CM is way more fun to play. Wait till you get in a huge fight with multiple mobs and your whole party is just about dead. Toss down that AE heal and your whole group is not thanking the Doc they are thanking the CM. In PVE a Master Medic is sufficent for healing damage since doctors get no bonuses to damage healed. But CMs are faster more efficient healers.
Overall, if your group is experienced, can work as a team and/or the medic doesn't missheals, then you really don't need a Doc most of the time. If your group is completely newbie, unarmored and expect them to die alot then you better bring a Doc.

You cant enhance until 0200...
Personaly I think CM is more useful in a group out in PVE. An area stim C can heal the whole group at once prety much to full and you can chuck em prety fast. If there are lots of mobs pulled throw an area poison and let everyone concentrate on one critter, the others will be weaker when you get to them. Heal mind is very useful when hunting with just a carbineer an BH when the bounty hunters mind gets torn appart in two hits an he goes down, causeing the carbineer to panic untill he sees the BH back up.
Then again, Id rather have a well played novice marksman in my group than a poorly played master commando.

am I wrong here? You can apply buff packs with medicine use, correct? You don't need additional skills, I thought.
