Now tha tthe new patch is in I can give up my Hologrind and get started on what I always wanted to do COMBAT MEDIC. Granted I enjoyed the holo grind I am not complaining seemy foum here http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Chilastra&message.id=131874

but I am done with that for a while and I want to finaly try CM. I have read the proffesions boards a lot and this is still what I want to be. I have a few questions for you experts and a couple of concerns.

My concern is first, how do I make money as a CM. Merchant was my last class and that one is obvious as far as money making goes I now have a million credits to start my ne class. The other concern I have is when I go on hunting expiditions I have seen CMs get chewed out for not healing or doing a resustation fast enough to save a character. The fellow group members where very mean to the CM in all three cases.

My questions are these..

1. How should I climb the skill tree I have heard a lot about resisitation but I have noidea what is the best way to go?

2. Whats a good support class? I was thnking rifleman with the CMs long range healing and all that.

3. Is there a market for the meds a CM mnakes? I have harvestors and crafting stations and a vendor located just outside of coronet on Chilasta. 927 -4640 (if anybody is intrested). I realy enjoy doing the harvesting and crafting and espicaly marketing the product so will I lose that with this new class?

4. Finaly, any key tips for the CMs and questions I should have asked, etc.?

Thanks

rifle or pistol are good choises. with the ability to poison / disease individual HAM bars and then attack them with your weapon of choise, either is good (though i would suggest rifle)

there is in fact a market for meds crafted by Combat Medics, especially if you can get your hands on good resouces. i don't mind crafting, but i certainly do not have lots of fun doing it either. there are a LOT of dabblers in the profession who take 4/0/0/4 or even 4/4/0/4 and depend on other CMs to make their meds, poisons and diseases for them.

i would suggest climbing the combat med support (right hand tree) to 2 or 3 first so you can use area stims. once you can use area stims it becomes really easy to level the rest of the class. just find a spot in a cantina somewhere and lob those stims into the crowd of AFK holo-grinding entertainers.

hope this helped a little

Heh, I finished my crafting line first, so I could experiment on my items a lot better.. Then I went up the support line to get all of the CM use points. Then I went up (distance, I think) where I could get all of my effectiveness points. Then I went up the ranged tree.

I didnt use area stims till I was pretty close to master, but it helped alot.. In the Chilly Cnet cantina every two or three minutes I sent one in there and got around 2k to 8k xp ( I fell out of my chair when I got the 8k, that had been the most I had ever got!)

If you were to open a store on chilastra selling *quality* CM meds, make sure to send an email to Haris

Good luck.. its fun..
