I actually would like a way to inflict states as a CM... but that would probably require us to loose some of our current aspects...
These types of State Effect traps should be given to the Bounty Hunter profession. They are required to have trapping, but cant use it on NPCs or PCs, and BHs are the IDEAL place to put these.
CMs simply need to have range corrections, LOS bugs fixed, and some class needs to have resist buffs. I also think they should change the AOE cylinder to an actual sphere, to reduce the vertical affect issues, but maybe the game engine cant understand 'sphere', so who knows.

Debuff does not mean the literal removal of buffs. It is a state effect that negatively effects someone in battle, kinda like the opposite of a buff, hence the name.
Anyway, debuffs for CM is a good idea as a tradeoff for the unavoidable poison nerf.
Heh heh I think a de-buff would be cool. Not an anti-buff. De-buff would lower all stats or certain stats by XXX amount. Can you imagine... Crap just got hit with a Debuff for 2k so much for my buffs. I like it way better. heh heh funny arse shizz on that one. Not a bad idea I just think it would be funny.
As for commandos or BH getting the status effects I would agree. Not that it makes sense but I kind of like CM how it is now.
