Thread: Neat Idea for Combatmedics new weapon, because we all know that they need a little love

I was thinking that CM might use a smoke grenade, or maybe a flash bang of some sort which blinds, stuns and maybe dizzys. its just a though. basically this goes off the thought that Doctors can heal stats so i think CMs should get some state packs. think of all the fun that will ensue =P


sorry I'm bored at work and my Galaxy forum is going a little slow today.

I actually would like a way to inflict states as a CM... but that would probably require us to loose some of our current aspects...

It would be neat, I think they should add this if they do the CM 75% reduction nerf to the poisons and diseases to compensate for that.

These types of State Effect traps should be given to the Bounty Hunter profession. They are required to have trapping, but cant use it on NPCs or PCs, and BHs are the IDEAL place to put these.


CMs simply need to have range corrections, LOS bugs fixed, and some class needs to have resist buffs. I also think they should change the AOE cylinder to an actual sphere, to reduce the vertical affect issues, but maybe the game engine cant understand 'sphere', so who knows.


Anyway, good idea, but I think CM is the wrong place for this.

Debuff does not mean the literal removal of buffs. It is a state effect that negatively effects someone in battle, kinda like the opposite of a buff, hence the name.

Anyway, debuffs for CM is a good idea as a tradeoff for the unavoidable poison nerf.

Heh heh I think a de-buff would be cool. Not an anti-buff. De-buff would lower all stats or certain stats by XXX amount. Can you imagine... Crap just got hit with a Debuff for 2k so much for my buffs. I like it way better. heh heh funny arse shizz on that one. Not a bad idea I just think it would be funny.


As for commandos or BH getting the status effects I would agree. Not that it makes sense but I kind of like CM how it is now.

They are called Ranger Traps, except you can't use them on players or NPC's at the moment.
They don't do any damage but they apply status effects and debuffers. Some Rangers are pushing to have these usable on NpC's and players but give The CM a way to counter act the debuff effects
