The race stats give way too much strength and constitution so I know this race isn't the best choice mastering combat medic. I started as a brawler but ended up as a carbineer and just starting combat medic. Was wondering if there are/were any other trandy combat medics and if they had any tips to migrating stats, armor and what kind of buffing foods. PVP and PVE.

Thanks

I have a trando master doc/combat medic. Most people choose Mon Cals or Zabreks. I purposly chose a race that wasn't well suited for the healing profession as when your born you don't have a choice of race. As my starting profession I chose marksman which isn't the best for a healer as well. As I worked my way through the medic lines I slowly migrated most of my stats to mind and it's secondaries. Yes I admist I have about 750 health and action and low secondaries but as a doctor I can simply buff them.

As for armor I use a MK3 and simple bone armor as they offer great blaster protection and low encumberances. For PvE I suggest getting a pet to tank. A kumarra is a nice lvl 15 pet with 2.2k HAM. As for combat medic PvP I haven't really gotten into it as my poisons arn't effective yet.

I hope these tips help but what works for one person doesn't always work for the other.

I simply select the race I liked regardless of racial advantages.

I started as a Medic so I didn't really do any stat migration.

I don't bother with armor, at least not yet, due to the cost of wearing it.

I have ran into several Trandoshan Docs and CMs.

To be blunt, race is NOT the most pressing concern in any class selection. Frankly, I think this is a good thing.

Yes, asa Trando, you're missing out on Mind Bonuses. But at the same time, that means you have more points freed up to migrate over towards Mind, should you feel the need. And if you find that your mind is fine, or perhaps unnecessarily high even, you can migrate it back down.

My personal advice would be to migrate your mind up a bit, along with your Willpower (maybe Focus) and see how you do with constant use of stims. If using them constantly is no problem, then you're fine. =)

he is lvl 1 in all the CM skill sso far with carbine skills and surveying in backup.

I have not migrated any stats from what I started with, I uses padded armour for chest and arms, a mabari armourweave pants and chitin armour hat.

Representing as a Dosh CM here. I've found that the stat migration has allowed me to get past any stat racial penalities I've occurred. Not knowing what its like to play with another race, I don't know how bad off a Dosh really is. But, I was top heavy on the action when hitting Ranged Specialist for Pistol special moves and then on Mind when moving through the medic and CM tiers. I think you'll find that Doshs have a lot of Strength and Health that you can substract from, w/o looking likea weakling, to add to the other areas.

P.S. - Dont forget to keep Willpower and Focus high.

Good luck
