Combat Medic Archive
Thread: fast track
Lets say someone just started combat medic.Im curous, Whats the quickest time it took you guys to go from novice, to master?
took me 3 weeks of straight playing and another week grinding bio controllers. but i knew how to do this, was the second time to master it and i did noteven realy push it.
right now, this would be some harder though because no-one get's hit except pets and those give no med exp but they are reconsidering that decision.
Grinding the crafting exp will be your slwoest hurdle. If you can get your hands on Tatoonian fiberplast (easy) and Lokian wild wheat (realtively easy) is very large quantities,an advanced BECis worth 80 crafting exp and takes 30 seconds to produce. Of course since you will have multiple crafting stations, the 30 seconds isn't as important as the fact you only have 2 resources to place.
An advanced solid delivery shell would be good as well, due to it's realtively high resource requirements.
Of course you could always try it without grinding. Granted, it will take you a very long time (since crafting will lag medical exp), but you might enjoy playing more.
i reached my current template about 2 1/2- 3 weeks after release...
but crafting xp was giving out totally differently...
id say 2 weeks if all u did was powerlevel month if u actually played the game
Find yourself 2-3 Novice Teras Kasi who need xp.
They will love you and you will love them.
Took me a little less than two weeks. Ironically, I got through the crafting exp quickly (thanks to a large stock of Lok Wheat & Tat Fiber). I only really had to grind 1/3 of the 3rd skill, and all of the 4th. I trained up support first so I could use the advanced ranged & AOE meds. About 85% of my med exp was earned in the field, while the remainder was in med center (I HATE wound healing) and cantina. The novice medics didn't like me in the cantina, but the entertainers sure felt the love. This wouldn't be possible now, since every medic & their droid are in there trying to grind exp. If I had stuck in the cantina, then I probably could have done it in a day or two (assuming I didn't have to do the crafting), but I can't sit around like that.
Compared to other skills, med exp is ridiculously fast. It needs to doubled. (Let me get my flame-proof suit out.) There are so many ways to get med exp (even with pet healing changes, etc.) that its just silly. If you are actually out in the field fighting, then you should have no problem... unless your group is all CH. Then you might need to find a different hunting party. The funny thing is I never thought of using pets to grind exp. I always hated healing pets... I felt like I was burning my precious stims. Naive little me. ![]()
Of course, getting the master title is the easy part. Then ya gotta find all those pesky little resources that you will need to be a GOOD combat medic. No way to do that quickly, if you want quality stuff.
I never played a medic before. It took me less than a week from Novice to Master Combat medic. It was much easier than I thought it would be. This is before pet healing xp was taken out.
I had friends to supply organics, and I sample my own inorganics. It takes about 14k of each resource to grind BECs. I would grind BECs while grouped with friends and heal them when they are fighting. I would also sit in cantinas and grind while i healed. I takes about a minute to produce 5 BECs, at 35 XP each, that's 175xp a minute, it adds up pretty quickly. I had combat medic support and ranged healing distance 4 when i hit crafting 4. It took about a day to get through speed 4.
For medical xp, I would get in a group with my buddies, and fight about 5 desert razorbacks on tatooine with 3-4 rock beetles. They would take a bunch of damage and I would heal them. By the time the 5 razorsbacks die, I would get 5-10k XP. I would always joke with them about getting incapped and hurt, because that's how I get XP.
