Thread: Please explain disease before I waste my time

I will only have enough points to dabble into Combat Medic. I want enough to get the ability to use disease. It is my understanding that disease can inflict wounds. I am really not all that interested in the other aspects of combat medic since I will primarily be a pistoller (hoping they fix pistoller defences). I just want to make people sit in the hospital rather than have them come right back out of a cloning center with a TEF and kill me. If i can inflict like a 100 wounds in multiple poolsto an opponent that is all I am concerned about.

Will I be able to do this without becoming a master combat medic?

Not effectively. Poison and disease A's and B's suck, its C's that are the shizznat. C's require you to be a Master CM.

Disease takes an age to work, if you incap them and DB them the disease goes away. If you incap them the disease stops working until they've been woken up for a few minutes.

Disease is only good as a griefing tool in PvP, worthless otherwise.

Actually, disease is quit nice to keep those pesky tef's from coming back and coming back and coming back.... (get the picture?) And if you aren't going to master cm and you just want the diseases for this? Don't bother, really. A and B's are a joke and C's are nice butdon't tick fast enough imo.

However holo mentioned that 'revenge' tefs are an unintended 'sideeffect/bug' with no ez solution/fix atm.. and it will be getting changed.. so the only applicable use you just mentioned for disease.. will be getting patched eventually.

As with dabbling .. if you dabble in CM do it for the ranged heals.. the A or B poison and disease are useless..

Way less damage.. resist rate double.. (or more)

Not worth the time or skill points to dabble imo ..

My thoughts;

Not yours.

I believe the original post asks to use disease, not craft it. So, if you master combat medic support, it will give you 75 combat medicine use skill. Therefore, you should have enough skill to use the C packs. Please correct me if I am wrong. Then, all you need to worry about is finding a crafter to buy them from

Novice combat medic= +5, you now only have 5 +CM us.

Intermediate Combat Support= +15

Advanced Combat Support= +15

Expert Combat Support= +15

Master Combat Support= +25

Most Disease and poisons that are worth it will cost you 75+ CM med use.

But to apply the diseases, you must first have Healing Range II... dont forget that. So if you are wanting to buy Disease/Poison pak Cs from a Master CM, you are required to use up 7 skill boxes (Novice CM, Distance I, II, Support I-IV) Hopefully that should help you decide.
