Thread: Not a flame thread, just wanted you guys to hear what i got hit with today.
Anyway, got nailed just about an hour ago with a poison from those spider fangs.
Was a 1100 tick poison.
Just wanted you guys to know.

The opposing side will always strive to have the most devastateing weapons, you got hit by one. Clone, get back and spam [insert flavour of the month] on him. Who cares?

we can all bring up the times we were three shot killed by riflemen, burned beyond recongnition by a commando, blinded and burnt and made into an electrical outlet by a bounty hunter,Dizzy / KDedand beaten to a pulp by a TKM, Low Blowed - Panic Shot - PanicShot- Last Ditched by a Smuggler, had our heads and minds pulverized by a Swordsman and even Dizzed / KDed and kept down by Carbineers. We can all bring up the power of the Mighty Ion Rifle, the speed, power and tanking ability of a fully buffed TKM or Fencer or Swordsman (who hit in the range of 2-3k) and so on and so forth. but that is not what this post was about.
on the surface it was just a piece of information. 'i was hit by a powerful poison...'
i think many of us are reading INTO the statement '...and i did not like it one bit. i think it is WAY too powerful for the combat medic class. i know there are other powerful classes, but i (and many others like me) do not feel that combat medics should have this kind of power. we want a nerf'
now weather or not the latter was in fact implied b the formeris up for debate, but that is the sense i get from the responces.
i put it to the orignial poster that i feel your pain. it sucks to get hit that hard and feel that helpless to do anything about it. there are very few (if any) PvPers who have not felt that same pain. the frustration of 'okay, NOW my character is powerful enough to PvP and NOT get pawned. i bought 5 million credits worth of armor, i have the best [insert favorite weapon here] i have seen on the server, and i am Master Doc buffed with Master Entertainer mind buffs, food AND spice to complement it all. NO WAY i am going to get pawned' so you run out, go overt and get pawned by a TKM, or a Rifleman, or a Swordsman, or in this case a Combat Medic. it happens, and it happens to everyone. it is not fun to lose and it IS fun to win. the game is about BOTH. you win some you lose some, it is just that the losing part is not as fun.
i am sorry about your loss. i feel your pain and i thank you for the information about the poison.

Excellent response man. I guess that is how we all should have responded... but the edges of a Combat Medic are generally a bit frayed. (and I've personally been in a bad mood all week regarding PvP)

I have played every single combat related class in the game and most of the crafting ones and ATM Cm is overpowered in pvp (currantly doc./cm) I try not to use my CM stuff in PVP cause it just ends the fight way to quick. I only use my stuff on the tripple incapers who make a point to black out there mind bar
Although i am not a a real CM i guess cause the thing i like best about this class is the AWESOME ranged heals

Ya, they're so awesome, they're so awesome we need docs to make good parts for us, they're so awesome they can heal a few people's action and health all at once (even though EVERYONE is getting pulverized in their mind pool)...ya, ranged stims are awesome, I wish there was just a class that only uses ranged stims and nothing else, oh and it should take all 250 skill points to do (because ranged stims are so awesome), man, I'd drop everything to become a a master stim tosser!
I can think up various additional ways to do in a combat medic.
Basically to fight any class in the game can be summed up in one word TACTICS.

Yup. Whenever we throw anything we pause to throw it. That gives ample time for peeps to get within lunge distance. A CM on his/her ass can't throw anymore hot stuff.

Yeah i like them.Just cause your to stupid to figure out good ways to make them usefull no need to be such a ass
Tell me something, all your buddies are losing mind very quickly, how exactly do you find a use for your stims?I have only found one good use for ranged stims, and that's when people are attacking turrets...but, there again, it's futile since the second people start dying in their mind pool the stims become useless....now, in PvP ranged stims are usless 9 times out of 10, everyone and their uncle is a riflemen (or some other kind targeting proffession)...
