Thread: Is it worth doing CM at 4-4-0-4? Not enough pts to master it and keep TKA... :(

Just not sure if it would be worthwhile not to be master... Can anyone tell me?

hmmm... I could have sweared that I saw a bunch of CM/TKA running around in this game. Or is it you don't want to devote yourself to both profession and you are dabbling something else?

Flip it around to MCM and TKA 4 4 0 4 or 4 0 4 4 if you want some more damage. Meditation is key when you plan to heal mind in the field. I never seem to find time to really go on the offensive when our group engages anyway. I spend the majority of my time chucking poisons/area stims/and chasing people down for mind heals. I definitely consider this setup as more of a support role but you can also be very effective solo with a great set of armor.



I agree though that we should be able to master a melee profession. I'd love to be able to go loot hunting without having to rely on a group to do all the damage. I think they should drop the ranged tree in marksman as a prerequisite and make the required number of points to master CM the same as Doctor.

No forget CM...go Doctor. You can buff yourself while being a TKA...CM is a gimped profession unless your a MASTER...even then its not all that. Really expensive to gather all the "RARE" resources needed to make poisons. And they just arent worth the effort unless you master the profession.

I had a lot of luck with TKM + 4/4/0/4 in CM. Easy enough to sling a fairly decent mind poison dodge behind a couple buildings and let their mind go down or go toe to toe if they are melee and use a head hit. Cyrac is 100% right though as meditation is a very very big help when you are having to heal a lot of minds in the field.


If you are planning more of a support CM role than an offensive one, I would go with one of Cyrac's two options. Those are by far much better overall if you are going to be using CM skills more than your TKA skills.

4/4/0/4 CM is still very powerful. You can toss all your AreaStimpacks, use some of the ranged Stimpack Ds, and toss the strongest single poisons and diseases. You can't use Area C packs...but you can use the Bs. In PvE those might not be worth it, but toss a mind, focus, and willpower area B pack onto any group, and you'll have them woried just a little bit. Those will be easier to cure than the Area Cs...but that's the trade-off you get for not being a master.


I do agree with most people on the thread, though. CM is more of a support class, and as such you don't really need to master TKA.

Been MCM/TKA 4404 for a while now and I love it. You don't need TKM to be effective.
