I have heard many combat medics state that cm's are underpowered instead of overpowered. Before you go thinking that I am here to whine, let me assure you that I am not.
Here are some of the arguments I have heard...
1. I am a master combat medic and I never get to db anyone.
2. Master combat medic takes a lot of skill points.
3. We suck at pve.
4. Our poisons/diseases take lots of rare resources.
Ok, here are my responses to that.
1. In a large battle NO other class can turn the tide like a combat medic. DBing someone means nothing.
2. Master Bh takes far more points than Master Cm. I have never used an aoe attack on 30+ people and completely turned the tide of a battle. Also with the points you have left over, you can master an entire other ranged combat class.
3. You are a support class. The way you are in pve is the way you should be in pvp, just like everyone else.
4. There are plenty of vendors out there selling poisons and diseases. Go buy them and throw them at people.
Now does combat medic need a nerf? In my opinion combat medic just needs to be brought down to everyone else's pvp/pve damage rate. Getting hit with a poison or disease should not require that I seek immediate medical attention from a doctor, just as being bleddoesn't.
Thank you for your time.

I agree those stun pistols can be ridiculous. That is if you can get the schematic to drop. Most of them are looted ones that are the same as tangle pistols or lower.
Lets be realistic here...
Can you incap or kill every creature around a lair in 10 seconds? No you cant. You surely should not be able to do the same in pvp.
Combat medic should have most of his skills used for healing others, with the slight distraction of a 75% pvp damage reduced poison/disease thrown in there. I am not asking for a nerf, I am asking for a level playing field here is all.

I'll offer up a few responses in addition to my one-star. I hope you don't mind

1. In a large battle NO other class can turn the tide like a combat medic. DBing someone means nothing.
A. In PvP there is no gain except from the FP you get from DBing someone. So the entire topic is flawed. Turning the tide ammounts for nothing at all.
2. Master Bh takes far more points than Master Cm. I have never used an aoe attack on 30+ people and completely turned the tide of a battle. Also with the points you have left over, you can master an entire other ranged combat class.
A. And Master Commando takes the same ammount of points as Master CM, every single other Master in the game is cheaper. Is there a point to be made about that? With the points I have left over I need to spend 29 on Surveying and another 29 on Harvesting to be fully effective. And then I can not manufacture decent area stims since my components will be sub standard, unless I spend 20 points on Doctor.
Being Master BH also provides a much beter basis for income, gives higher versitility to the character and actually provides more game content.
3. You are a support class. The way you are in pve is the way you should be in pvp, just like everyone else.
A. either a) Area effect weapons are supportive fire. We are the artillery of SWG. Get used to it, we were intended this way by the Devs. Deal or quit.
or b) We are not a support class. That is a piece of fiction invented by the Nerf herders. We have always had Poisons, we need combat XP to even gain Novice -a trait by the way we share with only two of the Elite Combat professions (BH and Commando).
4. There are plenty of vendors out there selling poisons and diseases. Go buy them and throw them at people.
A. There is? Can you provide me with waypoints to well stocked vendors on the Gorath server please? And tell me how I can manage to buy these poisons (should I find them) on what I make as a Combat Medic. We are one of the absolutely most strapped for cash professions there is.
Now does combat medic need a nerf? In my opinion combat medic just needs to be brought down to everyone else's pvp/pve damage rate. Getting hit with a poison or disease should not require that I seek immediate medical attention from a doctor, just as being bleddoesn't.
A. As even a novice combat medic could tell you, we are already below everyone elses PvP/PvE damage rate. Considering that we might sacrifice independance for a combat profession and actually do some damage we might be about where we should be, in PvP that is, we are severely underpowered in PvE.
Thank you for your time.
A. No problem, thank you for your time in turn.

In response to the first person...
I have no response to someone that is going to just call me names.
In response to the 2nd person...
Taking bases is the only real content to pvp. Like I said NO OTHER CLASS CAN STOP A RAID DEAD IN ITS TRACKS LIKE A CM.
Dont bunch up you people say...
Its kind of hard not to bunch up when you are inside a base taking it down.
Once again, I am not asking for a nerf, just a level playing field. Try another combat class and watch how badly a cm can devestate a group of 20. Sure one on one you suck, but 1 on 20 you are devestating. As a bh, 1 on 1 I am decent, but 1 on 20... I think you can guess what would happen.
This is just making me sick. I am really sorry I even came here to post. Just ignore my thread and let it die please.
Thank you for you time.

Prolyfik, we do have names you know
Taking bases is the only real content to pvp.
This serieously seems like a problem with PvP and not with Combat Medics.

The devs have already spoken on this, they said that CM DOTs damage is fine. Why must we keep defending our already very low damage?

One starred, yetno one wants to actually reply to my post with any sort of thought.
That is very sad.

LMAO...well, I hope you don't ever get poisoned or diseased in real life and think that way...you can bleed for a while in real life, depending on where you got cut open, without getting immediate medical attention...

That is just silly and has nothing to do with the game mechanics I am comparing.
Seriously, I want someone that is well spoken to counter all of my points that I brought up...

I can safely say you are a complete moron.

1. In a large battle NO other class can turn the tide like a combat medic. DBing someone means nothing. So why are we even a combat class with ANY combat abilities if we're not supposed to get a single DB? And sure, we're good in large battles....ever see us in one on one fights? LMAO...single us out from our group and we're toast... Sorry if you have no skill in taking out someone with 0 deffence/mitigation
2. Master Bh takes far more points than Master Cm. I have never used an aoe attack on 30+ people and completely turned the tide of a battle. Also with the points you have left over, you can master an entire other ranged combat class. I don't think I've hit 30 people either...and Im sure 90% of the combat medics playing haven't either... Word to the wise, spread the **edit** out
3. You are a support class. The way you are in pve is the way you should be in pvp, just like everyone else. Great....glad you have your opinion, tell me, would you honestly blow 66% of your skill points on a class that does 20 damage per second (that can also heal relitively unimportant health pools, but has to buy parts from doctors to make a stim worthwhile...). I can safely say, since you're a complete moron, that you wouldn't even think of EVER becoming a combat medic if you had no real role (which iswhat you basically want of combat medics...we're good at healing and offence atm, but we're by no means the best at either of them)
4. There are plenty of vendors out there selling poisons and diseases. Go buy them and throw them at people. LMAO.... 10cpu (ormore), takes 200-300 units of resources, more resources in one poison pack then most pistols, ONE poison pack that lasts about 20 minutes in big battles... You really think we all have billions of credits laying around? Each week we could be conceavably be spending as much as 500k credits on resources/poisons, Imao...we become the weakest proffession, and the most expensive... lmao, we'd be spending more then people spend on krayt weapons (which can last a few months) each week...
Now does combat medic need a nerf? In my opinion combat medic just needs to be brought down to everyone else's pvp/pve damage rate. Getting hit with a poison or disease should not require that I seek immediate medical attention from a doctor, just as being bleddoesn't.
