So there I was! a 0001 Artisan, 1000 Scout, and a 0110 Brawler poised to engage in some heavy duty PvP action when all of a sudden this Rebel Combat Medic came out of no where and with one look I was in the cloning centre.
Yes you heard me right! No Mind Poison, No Disease, No Area blah blah blah, just one cold stare and poof, instant death.
Well of course the first thing that came to mind was holy Nerfity Nerf Nerf Nerf!!!. CM's Must be Nerfed!!! If nothing less for the sake of world peace and global stability, the mighty nerf bat needs to swing! and swing it must!!!
I'm sure even amongst the Combat Medic Bretheren, you can understand the need for this nerf, after all, and lets be honest here... a combat medic is nothing more than a glorified Home Maker with a medical Turkey Baster!
I'm sure all the other combat professions will breathe a sigh of relief when the nerf bat strikes down the mighty combat medic to the ranks of a durni... A killer durni mind you.. but a durni none the less....

CM's welcome to the FOTM club, or as I like to call it, the Nerf of the month club.
But seriously... Do I really think CM's need a nerf? not especially.. I think your range should be in line with everyone else 65m but besides that I like your profession.
Quesitons people are wondering?
1. Are CM's a pain in the ass?
Yes of course they are.. why do you think they are always the first to be targeted in PvP? I know of no other profession that has a bigger bullseys on them then CM's.
2. Are CM's some unbeatable unstoppable force that must be dealt with ala the nerf bat?
I don't think so. I suppose my opinion is biased here as a tkm, the worst of the worst of your poison/disease, I can meditate away in a few minutes so for me it's nothing but inconvenient. that having been said, the way typical PvP has gone for me. Assuming both sides are evenly balanced, CM's through there poison and such, CM's are promptly killed, TK's than need to heal begin to meditate while others watch over them, when tk's are healed they watch over the one's that just looked after them while they heal. etc.. etc.. etc...
Maybe I'm missing something but that's how I see it... Makes for a more interesting fight in my opinion.

Combat medics are given such power so that people do not pvp, it makes the server go down. Lol they have admitted it themselves. "The technology is not in place to host very large battles, due to the nature of the combat system, and all of the factors, armor piercing, range, etc etc it must simulataneously calculate" I remember tha from when they hosted the big pvp event on Test.
combat medics insure against this quite well, lol. People want to have fun, not wait for the doctor, in 'virtual waiting room' There arent even magazines to look at, lol.

It wouldn't be that bad if Combat Medics ACTUALLY suffered the same 75% damage reduction penalty that EVERY other combat profession does in pvp. So why not just fix that? Wouldn't that make more sense?

we already do it suffer a 75% damage reduction, the problem is the DEVS have applied it to PvE as well
