Every time I go on the cm forum I see tons of posts crying about area poisons. I don't know if it's just me but my area poisons aren't nearly as powerful as my normal poisons (and believe me, my poisons do not suck). Normal poisons aren't that great and area poisons are even weaker. Sure I can hit 5 people with a poison but since it does less damage a doc can simply cure all of them before any real damage is dealt. If I'm shooting at them maybe one will die and then I'll be dead cuz I got four enemies attacking me back. And when you think about the DoT you aren't doing nearly as much damage as you could be if you were just shooting them (unless you suck). I dunno, maybe I'm wrong. If I am, tell me. Just be civil about it.

thats why i single poison/diseasedocs from 80m away they get a choice which to heal first and sooner or later i make em heal their mind pool away
everybody else gets the AOE

Problem is that some ppl stand way to close to each other in a battle, and some CM's (dont know who) can toss farther than normal (mine are no where near they distances I have read about), and nearly no one resists them (from a Master CM) hense the constant whining and nerf calling. Rule in game is that if ANYTHING AT ALL POUNDS YOU INTO THE GROUND then go to the forums and scream nerf the CM's cause someone beat them, doesn't matter who, just that they lost and the CM's need a nerf.

The problem is this:
You throw your area poison and hit 5 people...three seconds later you can throw disease to the same people. Thedisease isn't to grief, but to cause the doctor to have just one more thing to have to heal. At this point they can choose to eitherkeep healing a few of the poisons when they can and let thedisease do its toll, or actually attempt to heal them both, a very hardthing to do.
Now say they have one doctor to combat you as a single combat medic. They would see their friends were poisoned about the same time you do due to the server being the one who decides "when" it happened. So they throw a single heal and cure themselves, then three seconds later, about the exact same time you're throwing the disease, they're healing ONE other person of the poison. This leaves 3 people poisoned and 5 people diseased. If you have super long range (I'm assuming you don't since you don't mention this, but its very possible for people to get it) then this means all of it was done from safety. You would never have been hit at this point. If people want to use shorter ranges to say my argument isn't validthen I'll include a group to backthe CMup too. So two groups, both the same but one is 4+CM and the other is 4+Doc.
About this time (6 seconds or so after you and the docsaw the poison hit them, but close to10 seconds after you actually hit the throw button depending on lag) the poison will start to hit.Threepeople will lose about 500 or so mind, possibly a LOT more if venom is used.
Keep this cycle going for a while, and you'll see why area poisons/diseases are "bad". The whole point is that there should be some counter to a combat medic, but right now doctors aren't effective enough. Doctors need to have area heals to counter area poisons. THIS is what is "wrong" with area poisons. There is nothing you can do on your end, thats why it must be so frustrating. All we can do is wait for the developers to fix what's broken.

well I can tell you are not a CM either friend, because you know a poison that can hit from 80m has no eff, espicailly with a doc on the recieving end (unless they are on crack docs who mastered doc 2 seconds ago). So please go troll else where.
