We have made a decision to address major combat issues only and not do the full combat balance at this time. After the Crafting Experimentation experience, we realized that we need to spend more time than a single publish to truly accomplish our goal, which is to make combat fun and engaging. To have the depth to combat that I think everyone wants in the system we want get much more player feedback and balance on these types of things. We will be developing the Combat Balance separately in a Sandbox over a long period of time, with plenty of Test Center and correspondent participation. We will release this one when it is ready... and not before.

Face it there are more important things that need to be done anyway, like a new user guided tour through the professions.
Damn... I was counting on getting some peace and quiet for a while when mind became healable. But hey... we are Combat Medics, we are a bit hardier than the rest, a tad more flame resistant as it is. ![]()
The funny thing is, no matter how many months of testing and tweaking they spend, the Combat Revamp will be hailed by a thunderstorm of whine, cries and abuses.
"Whahahahaaaaa! Before the revamp my template was all powerfull, now it sucks. Make the bad revamp go away! Whahahahaaaaa!"

As far as mind stims are concerned, I think the convential wisdom was not that there would be "mind stims" but that the HAM revamp would allow Mind damage to be healable with ordinary stims, just like it was for a while back in beta. The problem back then, is that it allowed you to forever heal damage, because every time you healed, you might use 100mind through the act of healing, but the stim would replace all that and then some.
The HAM revamp was supposed to subtract from your HAM pools separately from damage, in a way that cannot be healed, but must regenerate. Specials would temporarily reduce the Max value of the pool, while damage would subtract from the existing pool, whatever it's max value.
No Combat Revamp for who knows how long.
The one thing that would've worked in our favor and lessened or nullified the nerf cries won't be coming anytime soon. So don't be surprised if certain folks begin crying even more for a nerf...

That is my biggest concern as well.
Not some folks crying for nurf, that is something Dev are getting more and more used to, but the fact something that COULD have address the issue is not getting the chance.
Issue of poison/disease are old one. When it got pretty bad, they put in 1pt no-incap thingy and folks try it out.
It didn't work and when things gotten iffy again, they tried to put in 32m hard cap thingy, but it's hard to keep players happy.
Anyway it's been while since Dev last address the CM, and they been feeding everyone line about everything will be address in combat revamp. Now thats kinda blurry and it seems like the issue is getting shelved. Ofcourse it is not, but to lot of folks it "appears" to be and thats what matters anyway.
My biggest fear is Patch 8 hits with this issue not getting addressed at all, then there is dramatic fall in player population due to some OTHER reason (like release of EQ2, City of Hero, World War 3 happen, Comet crashing into NYC or whatever) and Dev decide to blame the drop in players population on poison/disease and think nurfing it to stoneage will make everything better.

I'm a CH first and a CM second.
Creature Handlers already were "balanced" when creatures were nerfed with nuclear weapons in publish 5, then further stealth nerfed in publish 6 via newly introduced bugs that the developers refuse to deal with, for all we can tell.
I want the other combat professions (apart from the recently nerfed with a Louisville Slugger commando) to feel the love of the devs.
I especially want the TKA/Doc combos to feel it. Severely.
