Thread: 1000 Combat XP away from novice CM...

I have maxed out my medical XP and medical crafting XP while hanging out in the medical centers getting 650 AP. When I get enough combat XP, I'll have enough med xp to train 2 boxes of CM and 2 boxes of CM crafting.

My question is, what 2 boxes should I train 1st? I have novice pistoleer and scout 4-0-4-0 if that makes a difference.

I would advise going up the right trees first. The stronger the poisons you use, the quicker you will be able to master the Combat Medic profession, and the more effective you will be.

Congrats and good Luck!

I'd suggest the ranged support tree; there are two ways to get lots of med XP as a CM, one is poisoning durnis or another low level mob over and other, the other is tossing an AOE stim at a cantina filled with entertainers.

Keorythe's Medic/Doctor/Combat medic powerlevel guide

Requirements: 1 volunteer, lots of wound packs, 6 disease packs of any quality

Forget area healing dancers, using expensive stims on tumblers, or any of the other stim use heavy methods.

1) First make or buy the most powerful advanced woundpackB's for every stat on the list (hp, action, constitution, stamina, etc) EXCEPT mind.

2) Make or buy a matching batch of diseases but be sure to get the potency at 95 or higher in order for them to land. You can stack one single target and one area effect disease but thats overkill.

3) /duel your volunteer from a short distance and land a disease on each of his stats. /endduel and lay a regular stimpack heal on them since currently a full black bar and any injury (white damage) will incap them.

4) Start healing them using your woundpackB's. For every 100 points of wound healing you get 250 exp. Making 500-700exp using a 150+ power woundpackB isn't that uncommon. Its also ALOT cheaper to do it this way since you can make master medic with just about 2 or 3 of each kind of woundpack compared to the crates and crates you'll go through of stimB's on tumblers/entertainers.

5) When the disease has worn off and all stats are fully healed have the volunteer go watch/listen to an entertainer. Disease cause alot of battle fatigue although I've never made it over the 350 mark in one round.

6) Rinse and repeat. Even the poorest medic can do a few missions and afford this. By novice doctor or novice CM you can make your own advanced woundpacks thus simplifing the process.

You can grind all of the medical experience you need for master medic in one night doing this although the crafting part is a whole different ballgame.

One downside to Brainplays idea is that your "victim" will incur battle fatigue for the diseases used against him. Increased battle fatigue = increased shock levels which = lowered healing effects. So over time unless your "victim" is also having their BF healed your effective max heal will be reduced in effect reducing your xp. One way to have this work to your advantage is to do the healing in a player cantina with your victim listening to an entertainer so their BF will get healed.

There are many ways to get medical xp fast but once you achieve Support 3 I would use AE Class A poisons. See the FAQ for more info under hologrinding.

A player can target and /watch or /listen to an entertainer in the cantina then step right outside the door while still retaining the /watch. As long as the entertainer is close by the door you're fine. The methods I posted here were done outside of the corellian cantina. Most of the time the lobby is packed with entertainers so have your victim watch one and step just outside so you can use your nice +110 medical droid.

Evendiseasingall 6 stats I've never gone over the 350 bf cap where it starts to have an effect on our heals.I usually get around 250+ per sitting.

This is the most EFFICIENT way to do this. If you're strapped for cash I recommend using this method. If you can afford to by a few crates of stimB's or make a bunch of stimC's then by all means go waste them on injury damage or some tumbler.

Brainplay, I do NOT recommend diseasing any more than two pools at a time. Because you won't be able to heal them fast enough on the other four and the disease's long term effects will go to waste Unless you're a doc and have wound treatment speed to make it happen faster, you're only going to be able to keep up with two pools ticking down.

I also STRONGLY recommend that the victim NOT be tumbling at the time because of the incap thing. I managed to kill a fellow guildy this way, with only three diseases and with her tumbling.

I bet she was mightily suprised

Reminds me of when I was about to minddisease a friend for his alt dancer to heal. All of a sudden he opens up a can of whuppass with his carbine, which causes me to panic and poison him as well.

we didn't think more of it after that, apologized and wen our separate ways. Then I get a tell from another friend while I'm minding my factory:

I just saw *friend* he ran towards me and then incapped. I think he died.

Which goes to prove, never fire upon a Cm unless you're prepared for a fight.

Carbicide: "The victimless crime!"
BTW Yes it is true, I've tested it myself, poison only ticks once every TEN seconds!

Any method that involves dependancy on another player is innefficient. While you may have access to a CM and a second player to diseasethe average player does not. What you are recommending may work for some players that have friends willing to help them, but the average CM doesn't have that luxury. AE poisoning is the most efficient way to level up in xp in CM. Regular healing gives back xp in a .5 to 1 ratio. Wounds give back xp in a 2.5 to 1 ratio. Poisoning gives xp in a 1 to 1 ratio but, heres the kicker. Any type of healing has a finite limit. Once your subject is healed you must wait till he is damaged to gain more xp. Poisoning keeps giving you xp even if a mob is at +1. I'm talking full xp. So if you agro a lair of durnis and 5 adults come out with 5 babies you will gain full xp so long as they stay alive and keep spamming poison on them. It is unlimited medical xp and not dependant on another player. It's not boring as hell either.
