Don't get me wrong, I would love a way to make money using combat medic skills. However, there is one definite advantage to having "no marketable skills or items". If you look at every other crafter or service profession, there is invariable a thread of "how dumb are these customers". As a combat medic, even though we craft things and sell them (to other combat medics), and disease people (for grinding entertainment healing), we encounter remarkable few "intellectually challenged" people.

Because not everybody can use them, the people buying ranged stims and poisons must have had some exposure to combat medicine. (Well, not the hologrinder, but they won't really be buying medicines, rather they will just me healing tumblers in a med center.) They might need somebody to explain what each stat is the first time, but they in general know what they want and are not rude (as there are so few of us, how likely are they to find another combat medic who can help them?). About the only real ignorant thing I have encountered is when people ina cantina ask me to mind poison them (which I frequently am tempted to do...

).

So while we might have no money, at least we don't have to deal with the angst that other non-pure combat classes have. Unlike those poor smugglers... and doctors... and weaponsmiths... and dancers... and bio engineers... and tailors... and...

By the way, if you haven't read them, try reading some of those rant threads (for example, the sticky thread "A Chuckle for a Smuggler" on their forum). They are very entertaining.

Me:

*stomps of to SWG with stopwatch in hand, poisons an entire herd of gualamas and time between ticks for a minute or so*

Me:

"No poison ticks for once every ten seconds. Welcome down to Gorath if you doubt and I'll make a special demonstration of the ticks of mind poison and disease."

BTW Yes it is true, I've tested it myself, poison only ticks once every TEN seconds!

you missed out that the poisonwas doing 5k per tick as well

No no... poison doesn't do 5k per tick. It's disease that does 5k wounds for each of it's 15 second ticks

Is *that* why when I dismount a vehicle I show up 20m away, or after I sit, sometimes I float 10m away? I thought it was a bug. I guess it was really a special ability, to prevent me from being attacked.

Did you BTW know that Fire Spider Venom is comon as dirt? Every CM gets a big fat crate of the Prenerf stuff when he learns novice CM. True. I promise.

Yeah well I like the fact that it is instadeath to be poisoned and diseased by a flame breathing, ultra hard to hit, damage eating, unkillable CMs. I am still working on this one.

Reminds me of the surrealist spanish Sci-fi i saw once. Think it was called "The Hanging Gardens". The tailor in the movie murders his one and tru love by hiding a needle in the bodice of her wedding gown (she has decided to marry the movies bad guy) and then tightening it real hard. Maybe that would be something for Tailors to root for?

Rebel Tailor to Stormtrooper:
