HEAL HEAL HEAL
When the opportunity presents itself: debuff and paralyze
Group pvp needs coordination and communication. If you choose to act as medical support then your priority is to heal, not to attack. There have been numerous fights where I never got off a shot as I was busy keeping my group alive or bursting into the enemy mist to throw on some thyroids and hemmorages.
Your best option is to not involve yourself in combat in any way shape or form unless you come under direct attack or your entire group isn't taking any damage at all. Many templates out there have very little healing in them so that they may take advantage of other skills. Those that do have healing wont need to pause their damage output by delaying for a heal. In that case its your job to make sure their dps output doesn't falter by being incapped.
Debuffs help alot but unless you are sure you can pull one off withoutthen dont risk it. Your value as a healer is nullified if you are incapped and killed. Use your group as cover and hide amoungst them. If the enemy engages point blank you have free reign to debuff all you want. Paralyzing someone takes them out of the fight for a while and that helps ALOT. Be sure and let the others know what you did and make sure they know not to break the paralyze unless they are willing to mass their firepower on that one person.
Target other healers! You can't imagine what damage you can do by paralyzing the other group's chief healer. Seek out the telltale signs of bacta toss and bacta spray. Target with impunity! Having your group mass their firepower on said person will overcome their healing ability and remove that threat.
Sage advice, Brain. CMs are large-scale-PvP support people, not primary damage dealers. Those area heals are balance shifters. I'm also an up-and-coming CM, and I definitely notice a difference in my guildmates' results when I'm lurking in their midst.
Our first priority is the same as a real-life paramedic's: keep ourselves alive first! We don't do anyone any good as a corpse.
Second, pump out the area heals while watching your primary tanks' health. Toss some bacta onto specific people when they need it.
All else should be thought of as something you pursue when opportunities present themselves. Listen for your group leader's instructions on who the group is concentrating their firepower on, and do what you can to help bring him down as fast as possible. Toss DoTs, toss debuffs, knock him down with your ranged weapon's specials, spray a few area attacks into crowds of enemies... whatever works for you. But above all else, don't sacrifice your support role in the process by, say, exhausting your Action/Mind bars via weapon specials.
CM's are not the Rambos of this game. They're not primary damage dealers or tanks. You're a vital element in a team. It might not feel as heroic to remain in the middle of a large group rather than at the forefront, but if you enjoy helping a team win, you'll enjoy CM immensely.

That's pretty much it?
Yes, in group PvP all you do is heal...
My group was outnumbered 2 - 1 but we held up in a little shack and with 3 CM's in the corner rooms spamming area area we took out most of the opposing group until the rebels found us CM's ![]()
But healing it what your for.. don't bother shooting or anything else in group pvp...
