I want other CM's to chime in on this, because this has gotten to the point of ridiculous.

I am what the Dev's were imagining when they created the Combat Medic profession. I rarely hunt alone, I am in groups. I am the Medical Professional that assist the group in missions. My job is to keep everyone alive (including myself) and to get a shot in every once in a while. I will use my throws to weaken a target so the rest of the group can kill them easily. I am support, and I love the role. Now on to the problem.

Starting with missions to the 'Vette and DWB, I started noticing that when I used /bactaspray self simply to heal myself, the entire room would start shooting me. Not the Jedi in the group, not the riflemen hitting for FEROCIOUS damage... me. They would not target anyone else until I was incapped. This seems to be getting worse as the CU and Patches come through. Examples such as:

1.) Two MLS Jedi are hitting a Nova Commander on the 'Vette. I throw a D. Toss, he still attacks them. I use a bactashot on myself... he ignores the Jedi and starts to shoot me, as well as a SBD from the next room that had not been aggro'd yet. They do not stop until I am incapped.

2.) Avatar Platform - We are battling several Slavemasters, and I use /bactaspray. A Wookiee Freedom Fighter and a Wookiee commando come from the next room and start attacking me, along with the Slavemasters, all while I amin a group of 8. I am incapped. The Wookiee Commando stands over me, not attacking anyone else, mind you, and Triple Incaps me as I try to stand up.

3.) I won't use ANY medical skills in the DWB because it seems to agro the entire next floor under us, and I have a big target on my head as I walk behind the group. The Guards and droids will literally run past my party to shoot me, regardless of damage being done by the other members of the group.

This is ridiculous. I consider myself (in game) the exact same way that a naval corpsman does... you can shoot, you can fight, but your NUMBER ONE priority is keeping your team alive, even if it means sacrificing yourself. However, if combat IRL mirrored the post-CU role of the Combat Medic, the enemy would shoot to kill anyone with a roll of bandages and plasma, regardless of the other solders firing on their position. They would all simply aim at the medic to kill them as soon as possible... and if they only wounded him, they would wait for him to bandage himself up, move an inch, then shoot him again, all the while ignoring all other combatants. This is not fair to the medical profession. There was the patch note stating that self heals and medical usage was dropped 50% as far as the agro is concerned. I don't believe this for a minute, as it seems to get progressively worse.

Anyone else had experiences like these please chime in. We CM's are getting chewed up and spit out by the mobs for simply using a shot of health on ourselves.

As for the first paragraph, i completely agree, i am the same way.

The place i most often heal is in the DWB. There are always instances where things will agro and incap or instant deathblow you at the DWB.For me that is a more rareinstance as my groups will keep or regain as much agro as theycan. Also having a second or 3rd healer helps as agro will bounce around the group. The true killer inDWB is that all mobs will use AOE ranged attacks until they are drawn to a melee tank.As for agroing things in the other rooms, ive noticed this as well, even If noone is in combat it will aggro me thru a door across the room, in this case you shout on teamspeak and heal yourself. Nowdays you cannotgo to the DWB and expect to not die like good groups pre-cu would.

Anotherthe thing to remember is that bacta spray is the most "damaging"(heal hate)skill to the mobs as it can heal forclose or morethan a thousand health on everyone in the area, thus making you the highest damage dealer to the mob's prespective.

You want to group with a tank who knows his job, and as long as you go for more than one mob at a time, a non-jedi tank as Jedi have some "slight" issues holding aggro vs. multiple mobs (better said, they are a complete failure at that). There's nothing wrong with the hate system, there's just something wrong with many tanks as they apparently still didnt get that you not only taunt to get aggro, but also use it to KEEP it vs. whatever the healer is throwing out as heals (as you can see from my sig, I know this deal from both sides, my tank doesnt lose aggro to a healer nor do I pull aggro from a well played tank with my healer).
