Being a 'Griefing mean ole chemical warfare expert', I have had my share of some of the most colorful discussions with my prey. Although it is educational to hear what the kiddies are learning in english class, I am a little tired of it... So here is a suggestion to the DEVs... Perhaps it has been discussed perhaps not.... But here goes.

Gas Masks...
"Dr. Otu...What the heck is a gas mask"
Well that is a good question...
A gas mask is a highly disposable, heavily sought out item crafted by master CMs.

"But Dr. Otu!? What do they do? How do they work?"
Im glad you asked that.. First, after you place the apparatus upon your face (or snout) you are impervious to the poison for a short period of time, at which point the materials that make up the gas mask decay due to toxic deterioration. (much like what happend in Andromeda Strain)
These are generally one maybe two time use only items, so you keep buying more from me.
The application is fairly trivial... place nozzle over nose and mouth and continue to breath. Besure to place one on yourself before helping others with theirs.

"Dr. Otu? Can I place this item on my face after Ive been poisoned?"
Sure... but it doesnt do any good after you have been poisoned, That is why I have met up with some Smuggler friends and devised this handy lil blue pill (and yes its diamond shaped too!)

"Snake Bite Juice (tm)"
This handy spice is the next best thing to a poison cure.
This pill, taken before or after your encounter with a chemical warfare expert, will give you that last bit of constitution to find a doc or keep on fighting toe to toe... Pop this pill and your brain will turn that "Im gonna DIE! I hate CMs with all my being!" poison, into a "dang I think I ate some bad fish" poison. (side effects may include dizzieness, blindness, trouble sleeping... if vomiting occurs please consult your doctor).



Ok although this is somewhat sarcastic, I figure I need to advertise my ideas in a manner that will get them remembered...

I do think that this is a good idea that was used (sorta) in Empire Strikes Back, albeit they were oxygen providers... these are poison filters... (but could be one in the same)

The way I figure it, this does 2 things for the CM class... One, Brings in a constant flow of cash through a craft. And two, gets people to stop complaining (as much) about our 'Godlike Uber Super L33tn3ss' (yeah Im so freakin uber)....

For one, this sounds cool, but I just wish more people would become doctors.

Two, no complaints here about CMs,because you cannot throw poison while -blind- or panicked.

Also, I've encountered the best poisons in Starsider, and if the CM is within 64 meters when I get hit he's gonna die first, unless he can duck into a private house. That cooldown from the CM poison throw is what, 2 or three seconds? Either way it's long enough to ranged KD the CM and then wipe him out. Some CM's think their more than support units and try to go solo. Hee hee. Never been killed by a solo CM before he could get me, unless he ducks into a private house or does a strong single from way out of gun range.

So yeah I get poisoned but big deal, poison has cool hallucenogenic properties. Always cool to kill a CM and then pass out and go on a magic carpet ride to celebrate. If I have time I don't even blind them first so I can take a little trip. And I get killed while mind poisoned I dont even feel it, lot better than being burned, shot to death, blown up, or whatever.

I think the thread got a little off track after a single post.

Yes, Gas Masks and anti-poison pills are a great idea, and I for one will be anxiously looking for them in game. The idea rocks! Woot, and all that.

As for the last post, get down with your groovy leet self. Just be warned, some of us Master Cm's have our own ranged knockdowns that we strike with first, then molest and ravage your poor little flesh at our own whim.
