No actually, the same poison will not stack on the target.

You could hit with an Area poison, while your buddy hits with a single and those will stack.

Aaaa, I think rhen misunderstood. If you use area health, and I use area mind, both will stick on the target.. This is the tried and true method of ensuring doctors cant cure the mind poison. Cure's always work in a specific order, in this case, health, then action, then mind... The higher effectiveness is what will tick, so thus you use an area health b, along with an area mind c from 2 different cm's. The cure will always get the health one first, and you both just keep applying..

This is sort of true, Morganite. My understanding is that if you stack a health poison B and a poison C, both will tick on their own timers. (I know it does for an area C and a single target C.)

As for curing of poisons, assuming nobody uses loot drops and everybody is using "well crafted" poisons and cures, a doctor can cure both a health poison and a mind poison from two combat medics at the same time with a single poison cure, so you plan for stacking poison's don't work. (I believe this is as designed by the devs.)However, if you include venom poisons, and possibly low quality poison cures, your idea of masking the mind poison is a very real (and dangerous) possibility.

Then again, one might argue that two to one against the doctor should be unfavorable...

I have run a few tests. I can toss a health poison, wait 4 seconds, then toss an actionpoison and have both take effect.A doctor *has* cured multiple poisons witha single poison cures (a health and action one, in my case). This test has been reproduced by Mystra78.

I can not speak for Mystra78, but I know I was not using spider venom in my poison (which is why I said not including spider venom).

If you are still skeptical, I would encourage you to either find a master combat medic or a master doctor, and using a "well made" poison cure, and non-spider-venom poisons, try it yourself. If you get different results, I would love to hear about it (so we can find more nuances and further decompile how the system works).

Then they changed something, as this used to be our tried and true method of 6 guys beating 20 in pvp when doc's abounded, 2 cm's, 1 using health packs, 1 using mind packs...

Wait, you got a health and action poison to stick and both ticked? Used to be both would stick, but only 1 would tick. It was always that the highest tick was what went, not both.

*shrug*

More crap for the dev's to fix, ohh wait, the millions of image designers everywhere needed love first...

To the best of my knowledge, all of them tick, and this is as designed. The poison cures are as designed because I believe a dev posted that this was in compensation for the area nature of poisons. (I am not 100% sure about that post though, the exact article escapes me.) What I mean by "this is as designed" for the poison stacking is that we have talked about this several times on the forums about poisons stacking, I'm sure people have submitted /bug reports about it ("I just got killed by a combat medic who..."), and I do not believe any official statement calling this a bug has been released.

Actually, Texxie, do you know if poisons stacking was intentional. I mean both the "I can poison your health and your action" stacking, as well as the "I can toss an area C mind, area B mind, and individual C mind poison and have them all tick"? I would assume it is, but is there some comment in the corespondents forum about this?

I am still a doc, but rarely pvp anymore, and nobody uses health poison in pvp and I have as much desire to organize a test for a game I am payingto playas to give myself a vasectomy with a sickle and a shot of whiskey.

Then it should not be intended that way, as a rifleman/pistoleer cannot put 2 seperate bleeds on 2 seperate stats. This is essentially the same thing as what a cm would be doing hitting a mind and health poison. the idea of a CM is to pick a stat, and maul it. The idea is to pick a stat that helps your group the most(which is mind because it is basically unhealable). I am a staunch supporter of the CM profession, and I will go back to it eventually, but this goes over the line.

I know for a fact this never used to work, because only 1 stat at a timewould tick on the nightsister queen with poison, same for disease. The same for cures, as what I described before was a normal tactic we used, and we overpowered 4 doc's trying to keep cured 4 other people in this fashion in coronet one night.. Ahh, the nasty tells are what I miss the most from being a CM...

But there is no time for them to acknowledge or even try and fix this stuff, I mean, the outrage of millions of image designers needed to be pacified before the 3 or 4 people that pvp in this game... /end sarcasm...
